Great example of sixties architecture, including interior design — recommended to anyone interested in cultural and architectural heritage. The single room was neat and clean. And you will have a relatively comfortable time in case of an air raid, as the shelter is located in the hotel spa on the underground floor.
The location is fantastic; it's right in the heart of the city
I'm from Turkey. We come to this country for work. Generally, nobody comes to this country during wartime. We stand with the Ukrainian people and support them. Of course, we book these kinds of hotels through Booking.com. When we book through Booking.com, I think they see people who book through Booking.com as third-class citizens. When I checked in, there was no welcome, no smile. A female staff member, in such an indifferent way, asked if I could have a single bed. She said no because she had accepted the reservation. They took me to a room on the seventh floor. I went to the room, and the TV wasn't working. The TV was very blurry and had a very bad picture. They called technical support, and when they came, they confirmed the TV wasn't working and told me to give them another room. I even asked if they had a smart TV, and the technical support said yes. Then we went to that same staff member downstairs, and she said exactly this: "The TV in your room might not work because you booked an economy room. It's 2026, and the TV in the room is showing images from the 1970s. This is a four-star hotel, and having a TV like this in a four-star hotel is absolutely unacceptable. World Cup..." We want to watch the match, but even if you went to a village in Ukraine right now, the TV in the hotel there would be better than the TV in this hotel. I guess they don't like Turks because we're from Turkey, or maybe they don't like people who book through Booking.com. I don't understand. This hotel, especially the women working at the reception, need to be much more careful about their staff. If I were in charge, I would terminate their contracts.
