It was a bit confusing that there were various institutions in the building. Lack of assistance due to a lack of physical staff at the reception made it a bit challenging

Es ist wohl gleichzeitig auch eine günstige Dauerunterkunft für Handwerker. Diese sind in einem anderen Flügel untergebracht, man trifft sich aber im Foyer. Dort wird man regelrecht angestarrt und jeder Schritt und Handgriff mit Blicken verfolgt. Dafür kann aber das Hostel nichts, hab keinen Stern abgezogen oder so.

Låg lite avsides, men ganska nära ishallen vilket var ett plus då vi var där på ishockeycup.

We kwamen niet binnen met de code. Telefoonnummer op de deur werd niet opgenomen. Gelukkig kwam er net iemand langs met een sleutel. Bleek dat de deur van binnen uit op slot gedraaid was. Hij kon via een andere ingang naar binnen en de deur van binnenuit voor ons opendoen. En voor veel mensen (wij ook...) was het toch nog onduidelijk dat je eerst rechtdoor door de deuren moest naar de achterste keuken om daar de sleutel uit het kastje te pakken.

When I booked this property, it was listed as “Rentalux Apartment Rooms” and presented as apart-hotel style accommodation. We arrived to find a piece of paper taped to the entrance with “hostel” written in pencil. That was the first and only clear indication of what this place actually is.
Nowhere in the original description was it clearly stated that this is a hostel. Even worse, the “private room with bathroom” is accessed through a shared kitchen. If someone decides to cook at 2 a.m., you hear everything. This critical detail was not properly disclosed.
There was no reception, no visible staff, and no professionalism. Instead, we were met by men in work clothes who appeared to be construction workers. One claimed to be in charge but was unable to help. The entire setup felt chaotic and deeply unprofessional.
When we requested a refund due to the obvious misrepresentation, it was flatly refused. We were told that the photos “clearly show” hallways and common areas, so we should have understood it was a hostel. By that logic, any building with doors and a corridor qualifies as one.
Only after we filed a complaint with Booking was the property name changed and “hostel” added to the description. Yet they still refuse to admit the listing was misleading at the time of our booking.
Had I known this was a hostel, I would never have booked it. This experience was unacceptable and completely deceptive.
