A charming and characterful place with great food and an exceptionally friendly, hardworking team who made the stay even
Pros:

The location is excellent very central and within easy walking distance of the shops and the bus station, which made getting around Keswick really convenient.

From the moment I checked in, the service was excellent. The girl at check-in explained everything very clearly and kindly, including how to access the hotel if I returned after 10pm. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious.

The front-of-house team seemed quite small, but despite that, they did a fantastic job managing the bar, restaurant and guests. Dinner time was particularly busy, yet the service remained great. The girl serving me was incredibly active and attentive throughout, always with a lovely smile. I only wish I had caught the staff members’ names so I could give them a proper shout-out.

The menu had a good selection, and the food was tasty. absolutely nothing to complain about. Overall, what stood out most was the warm, friendly and hardworking staff who made the stay very enjoyable.

Cons:

Honestly, there was nothing I disliked. I noticed some reviews mentioning that the hotel and pub are a little dated, but I actually think the traditional, antique character is what makes this place unique and gives it its charm. I personally wouldn’t want that to change

Has all the basics needed for sleeping in
Pros:

Conveniently placed- everything is within good walking distance. The room was very basic but had everything we needed.

Cons:

The shower wasn’t the best - the holder was broken so you could only shower if you held it or if you placed it on the holder it shoots all over

Cozy, lovely staff. Not for light sleepers.
Pros:

Staff were friendly, room was lovely and spacious. Couldn't hear the live performance downstairs, which was surprising!
Great access to the shops and local area.

Cons:

No sound proofing. Could hear people showering as if they were in the same room as us. Quite warm in the room.

The location

The toilet seat kept sliding out of position,asked for it to be repaired...it wasn't!
Wardrobe know came off in hand.
Shower bracket wasn't fitted to wall properly.
Very dated,needs a refurbishment
