las instalaciones del hotel son bonitas

Cons:

Reservé dos noches en el hotel porque anteriormente había visitado el lugar en modalidad de pasadía. En esa ocasión noté que los huéspedes recibían una mejor calidad de atención y tenían acceso a instalaciones superiores a las ofrecidas para quienes asistían únicamente por el día. Precisamente por esa percepción decidí regresar, esta vez como huésped.

Lamentablemente, la experiencia estuvo muy lejos de mis expectativas.

El sábado, día de mi llegada, el hotel se encontraba completamente lleno. Nos ubicaron en unas sillas alejadas del bar y la atención fue deficiente desde el primer momento. De manera reiterada, el personal nos indicó que había un evento que tenía prioridad sobre los huéspedes, dando la impresión de que quienes nos hospedábamos éramos secundarios. Posteriormente, en el restaurante nos asignaron una mesa ubicada junto a los baños, donde la presencia constante de mosquitos hizo que la experiencia fuera bastante incómoda.

Sin embargo, lo más desconcertante ocurrió el domingo. Mi pareja y yo tomamos dos asoleadoras disponibles para disfrutar de la piscina. Al poco tiempo, un miembro del personal se acercó para informarnos que no podíamos utilizarlas porque estaban reservadas para unos visitantes de plan pasadía extranjeros y que debíamos desocuparlas.

Sinceramente, nunca me había ocurrido algo así en un hotel. Como huésped, resulta incomprensible que no pueda elegir dónde sentarme porque determinados espacios están reservados para personas que ni siquiera se encuentran hospedadas. Me pregunto: ¿en qué hotel sucede que un visitante de pasadía tenga prioridad sobre un huésped que ha pagado por alojarse?

Más allá de las situaciones puntuales, la sensación permanente fue que el hotel priorizó un evento y a los visitantes de pasadía por encima de quienes decidimos hospedarnos. Esa no es la experiencia que esperaba al elegir este hotel y, sin duda, no corresponde al estándar de servicio que debería recibir un huésped.

Luxury, great atmosphere and Caribbean laid-back charm at Makani Cartagena
Pros:

We stayed at Makani Luxury Cartagena for four nights and had a truly special time overall. Right from the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stylish grounds and the stunning location – turquoise waters, modern design and a relaxed, exclusive atmosphere.

During our stay, we were able to make the most of the Beach Club. The combination of comfortable lounges, good music and high-quality food created a real holiday atmosphere. It was particularly lovely that you could both relax here and soak up the lively atmosphere.

The team were always friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. There were occasional minor delays in service, which could be improved slightly given the luxury standards. Nevertheless, the overall experience was clearly the priority for us, and that was definitely something special.

Our days at Makani were perfect for truly unwinding and letting the place work its magic on us. We’re taking many wonderful memories home with us and would recommend Makani for a stylish stay in Cartagena.

Mi mayor error fue no reservar más noches.
Pros:

Es el hotel al que quieres ir cuando buscas desconectar, descansar, un buen servicio y buenas comidas y cenas. Se nota que prestan cuidado a todo (el diseño, el servicio, la atención personalizada). Enhorabuena.

Świetne miejsce na odpoczynek
Pros:

Hotel był bardzo pozytywnym zaskoczeniem. Wbrew wielu opiniom obsługa była świetna, przemiła i pomocna. Strefa basenowa jest zadbana i dobrze zarządzana, muzyka jest sympatyczna i wcale nie jest zbyt głośna. Ceny w restauracji wcale nie są wyższe niż w samej Cartagenie. Pokoje są ogromne, taras na dachu bardzo przyjemny, gwarantuje prywatność. Dojazd łódką również na plus, bardzo fajnie, że jest wliczony w cenę.

Cons:

Pewne elementy pokoju wymagają odświeżenia.

Geweldige plek om te verblijven!
Pros:

Ons verblijf met onze baby bij Makani Luxury was echt geweldig! Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen voelden we ons enorm welkom. Het personeel is super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en zorgt ervoor dat je werkelijk niets tekortkomt. De service is echt top!

Daarnaast is het de perfecte plek om even te ontsnappen aan de drukte van Cartagena en te genieten van rust, luxe en comfort. Deze plek is echt een absolute aanrader! Als we meer sterren konden geven, hadden we dat zeker gedaan.

Goed om te weten: je wordt vanaf Cartagena opgehaald met een bootje en ook weer teruggebracht.
