Tradition room with Fuji view
Pros:

Very nice traditional room with a view on Fuji ! Staff does not speak English but is very welcoming and translate us everything. They were very flexible as we changed date 1 days before and decide to postpone our night without asking us to pay fees.
Compared to other places that’s very good place for the price and location.
We liked the proximity with the lake and onsen.

Traumblick in traditionell japanischem Wohnen

...die Lage am See von Yamanakako ist toll...viel Grün drumherum und von einigen Zimmern der direkte Fuji-Blick... Die Straße vor dem Haus ist wenig befahren. Kleine Einkaufsläden sind in unmittelbarer Nähe...
Leider ist das Haus nicht gut isoliert...wir haben gefroren...die Klimaanlage braucht einfach zu lange zum Heizen. Im Zimmer gibt es weder Besteck noch Teller.
Wir hatten unglaubliches Glück mit dem Wetter ( 9.5. - 12.5.26 ) : der Fuji zeigte sich wolkenlos (!!!) jeden Morgen und Abend... unvergesslich...
Der Ort ist sehr ruhig, vieles war noch geschlossen; die Restaurants mit elektronischer Bestellung in japanisch... Der Nachbarsee war touristisch völlig überlaufen...also war uns Yamanakako letztlich lieber... eine Wanderung um den ganzen See und Kaffeetrinken nachmittags in W.Hale am Nordufer ...von dort aus : das Wegziehen/ sich Auflösen der Wolken um den Fuji beobachten...gaaaanz toll !!!

Cons:

...es war zu kalt im Haus und die Atmosphäre ist tot... die Zimmerausstattung ohne Besteck und Teller fanden wir gering.

Would not recommend this hotel unless you have no other option.
Pros:

The view of Mount Fuji was incredible, and location was good, which were honestly the only redeeming qualities of this hotel. What a waste to have such poor quality in such a prime location.

Cons:

The room was dirty, with dead bugs on the floor, someone's hair in the shower, suspicious stains on almost every piece of furniture, broken hanger in the wardrobe, etc. We were never given any welcome or any type of wervice by the owners of staff, whose children seems to be roaming around the hotel and playing there. The shared onsen that was supposed to be there was entirely closed the whole time we were there. Same for the supposed restaurant area where, again, the owners' family seemed to be playing around. Decoration was tacky, seems like the owners changed and the people who took over have poor taste.

An experience, however the reviews that were shown did not match the site.
Pros:

it was clean and an experience to sleep on the floor. The view was nice. But that is where it stops.

Cons:

When we booked it showed a restaurant and reviews on how good the restaurant was. Was not opened for breakfast or dinner. Not hot tub as shown. We had no TV apparently the signal was broken. Basically, we only had a bed to sleep in nothing else was working.

Pros:

Het enige waar ik blij mee was was de vriendlijkheid van het personeel en de ruimte van de kamer.

Cons:

De matrassen waren extreem dun. Zelfs met twee op elkaar had ik het gevoel alsof ik op de grond lag, wat resulteerde in slechts ongeveer vier uur slaap. Aangezien ik veel reis, is goede nachtrust voor mij essentieel.

Vanwege het comfort heb ik mijn verblijf na één nacht beëindigd, ondanks dat ik voor drie nachten had betaald. Helaas heb ik daarna niets meer vernomen van de eigenaar, terwijl er was aangegeven dat er contact opgenomen zou worden.

De accommodatie zelf oogt verouderd en gaf geen prettige sfeer. Gezien de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding vond ik dit verblijf het geld absoluut niet waard.
