Great location in heart of Dartmouth. Quirky with character. Good sized room.
No outside area, lots of stairs.
Very convenient location and the Australian team member was very welcoming during our stay (apologies for not getting his name).
It wasn’t particularly clean, it felt dated and quite unloved. For the money, even though Dartmouth is typically expensive, we had expected more. It felt like somewhere that had been great five years ago but now seems unloved. Aware it’s difficult to make a hospitality business thrive in the current economy, but I think it’s important to share honest feedback of the experience for people considering booking.
The hotel is in an ideal location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Our room was nicely decorated with lots of little extras and a really comfy bed .
Breakfast was really tasty with lots of HOT coffee.
We stayed on the top floor which was up three flights of very narrow steep stairs.
No lift available. Not ideal for a pair of pensioners. Our room was very nice with a really comfy bed. However the stairs and landing areas looked a bit tired and would benefit from some sprucing up.
The property is in a very convenient location and despite being in town was nice and quiet at night.
It describes itself as an hotel with restaurant and bar but, in our opinion would be better described as a B&B. We arrived on a Sunday and no restaurant was available. Luckily we had booked somewhere else for dinner but when we got back the bar was also in darkness. No bar was available the following night either and on the Tuesday the restaurant was only available if we ate at 5pm because they had a local group coming in who then took over the bar so again, we were excluded.
Although we did eat early, we found the food expensive and not very good.

L’étage du bar restaurant à été joliment restauré et est accueillant
La chambre que nous avons eue était repeinte mais la salle de bain était vétuste, pas nettoyée (j‘ai dû enlever moi-même un amas de cheveux des clients précédents dans la tuyauterie de la douche le premier soir). L’aspirateur n‘a jamais été passé et il y avait des minons de poussière sous notre lit.
