A delightful experience that exceeded our expectations
Pros:

Bang on the beachfront, which happens to be one of the best beaches in the world. Mobility access was good. It had the feel of an owner managed place, although it was part of a small group. A proper holiday hotel.

Cons:

The room was cramped, but set against value for money, that is to be expected. The bed was two singles combined, and a bit uneven where we tended to fall into the middle. No air conditioning. The balcony access was a high step and the balcony door lock was inoperable. The lift was “boutique”. We would return here and consider a room upgrade.

Great beach hotel and location with great staff
Pros:

The location is brilliant. 20 steps to the beach. The restaurant and the staff are all great and the hotel atmosphere is excellent.

Cons:

The rooms are small and have no AC. It was sunny but wasn’t very hot outside when we stayed but the room was too warm for comfort at night. There was a fan provided but it was still warm. If it was a hot summer day I don’t think I would have slept.

Felt so well looked after by the staff!
Pros:

The staff service was the best I’ve come across. The staff throughout were impeccably trained. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. Mo-Jo was a delight.
The food in the restaurant was really good.
The location was wonderful.

Very disappointing apart from location

Cons:

I did not get what I paid for. The two rooms were totally different and were supposed to be the same level
I had requested the rooms be next door to each other and was told that request was granted, The rooms were not adjacent and were on floor one and four

Pros:

Tolle Lage direkt an einem wunderschönen Strand. Bushaltestelle vor dem Hotel. Tee, Kaffee und täglich Süßigkeiten am Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück (Speisen wurden auf Bestellung gratis serviert).

Cons:

Wenig Platz für Handtücher im Bad. Sehr alter Lift. Trotz Lift musste man einge Stufen zum Zimmer gehen. Badetücher für den Strand waren extra zu bezahlen. Nur wenige, eher teure Gasthäuser im Ort.

Pros:

breakfast was good. A very good selection. Staff were attentive.

Cons:

We were boiling hot. There was no aircon and we had to keep the curtains pulled in the day to try to stay a bit cool. I had to have ice baths it was that hot and none of us slept. Awful experience.

The perfect beachside hotel.
Pros:

The Golden Sands is, in my view, the classic seaside hotel. Right on the beach in one of the most beautiful bays in the UK. The hotel is very comfortable with great staff. We only had breakfast, which was fine, and I’m sure the dining is a high standard. Tue facilities are rudimentary but the beach more than compensates for anything lacking inside. We loved it.

Cons:

No air-con. It was hot at night even though we were supplied with a decent fan.

On the Beach
Pros:

Beautiful hotel...right on the beach....Loved sleeping with balcony doors open,with the sound of the sea to get me to sleep...total dream.

Cons:

Maybe if the lounge area was a bit bigger....so you could sit with a drink....felf very small at times when busy

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Tolle Lage, freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Essen 😊

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand, gutes Restaurant mit Bar, Zimmer mit Balkon um Meerblick.

Cons:

Wir hatten ein paar ziemlich heisse Tage erwischt, so dass ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer toll gewesen wäre.
