Trans International Hotel

Where do I start?
The hotel is run down and very very basic. With some effort it could be great.
At the moment though it’s a mean spirited place. Grudging. They expect you to steal everything so they give you as little as possible..!!!
The evening receptionist needs lessons in customer service and how to be welcoming and smile.
There’s no phone line to the office and no lift so you have to repeatedly go up and down the stairs when you need to ask for all the things that they don’t supply to your room. Like the remote controls. And boy do they make you wait….
You get one towel handed to you with your key. Thats it. No face washer or bath mat.

While some of the staff were friendly, one man was very ignorant and had poor communication. Upon check-in, we noticed our smoke alarm was beeping frequently.

We asked to get the smoke alarm fixed, and the receptionist said the maintenance guy would be there soon. After 2 hours of listening to the noise in 30second intervals, we eventually had to ask again and the receptionist just removed it from the ceiling.

We also didn't have any towels, and noticed brown stains on the bed linen. The pillows were absolutely filthy and we are lucky there were no bed bugs as mentioned in other reviews.

While there is plenty of signage advertising for a bar and restaurant, we were told there is nothing and that we had to go to the nearby hotel diner.

When going to shower, we noticed we had no hot water. After informing the guy at the front desk, he spoke not a word, no apology or anything, came up to our room, ran the water for 5 minutes, gave up and told us to keep it running for 10 minutes to get hot water!! Not only was it a waste of water, but we actually never got it hot. After going downstairs again, he said he would come up and check it out shortly, which he never did.

Also, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms and the service is very dodgy.

We would generally say you get what you pay for, but in this circumstance we regret not spending a little extra on a more comfortable stay with the bare-minimum facilities and service.

No transport available from and to airport

No towels as they were in laundry.
Never received them after being told we would.

Large spider in room had to fight with and kill.
Room needs a deep clean.
Dust and hair everywhere.

TV was not working they said it was being worked on.

Slow overloaded staff as they seem understaffed.

We stayed because we were only there for 8 hours before leaving to airport.

Also mould in pillow cases and sheets.

They need all new linen and towels.

TV was not working.
No lifts.
No cafe to get food or drinks, coffee etc.
Poor service at reception.
Was very expensive for what is provided.

No television, no internet in room.

It looked badly maintained. When we checked in to a family room that sleeps 4, we were given, over the reception, 3 towels and a remote for the air conditioner. Felt that was really strange. Asked for 1 more towel and they said we were only limited to 3. Towels were also stained and slightly brown instead of clean white. The knob to the wardrobe was broken, you could feel the springs while sleeping on the mattress. Floors were clean.

Property needs better maintenance. When we checked in to a family room that sleeps 4, we were given, over the reception, 3 towels and a remote for the air conditioner. Also, a F$50 cash deposit was required. So make sure you have cash on you. Felt that was strange. Asked for 1 more towel and they said we were only limited to 3. Towels were also stained and slightly brown instead of clean white. The toilet flush was constantly flowing. The maintenance staff checked it and didn't come back to repair it. So our sleep was affected by the noise, even with the toilet door closed. They didn't even offer to change the room even though they didn't look full.

It was a little old, a little dusty. If you have a dust allergy, you might get itchy. Read the reviews before we stayed and brought our own pillowcases and this made our stay more comfortable.

This shouldn't be listed as hotel for people to stay..Omg the smell of the room is terribly bad and very disgusting including bed sheets. The property didn't met our expectation according to what they mention and explain about the property on the website to what we actually witness .The customer service at reception was very poor. Was asking the service desk about why there were few dollars extra being deducted from my account added to the booking but didn't gave us a good, clear and proper explanation. We thought they have provided our room a card or piece of paper with the wifi login as they mentioned on the website but they didn't. So we went back and asked the service desk for the wifi login and the guy at the service desk nod his head to me with his hand reached for my phone (for my phone to handed over to him) thinking it could be something to do with my phone of why the wifi wasn't working, while I was watching his move, I could clearly see hes trying to enter the wifi login in my phone, then I quickly interupted him before he could swipe my phone by saying, Oh I thought you should have provided us a card or a piece of paper with the wifi login for the guest to put down themself rather than you going through guest phone. so I dont know if its just us that this is happening to or to every guest.. Really not recommended this Trans International hotel to anyone.. Didn't had a good sleep due to the very strong bad smell and dirty. Not worth the money. $187.78 AUD for one night compare to the other cheapest hotel.. I believe this hotel is only good for the location but nothing else.
