The host was so friendly nice place to be

The location was disappointing, not what I expected. The biggest issue being that there was no running water for the whole duration of my stay. It was a major inconvenience.

• the staff holds the gate keys, so you constantly have to go and knock and ask them to open.
• there is no wardrobe in the bedroom
• there is no TV in the bedroom, you share the lounge and the TV with other visitors, there’s no privacy.
• the location surrounding the place seems very unsafe and the place is not in Randburg.
• The host family stays in the same house.

The location of the accommodation is very bad,and sometimes the are random people visiting the facility which is a safety concern,and it's a commune .

Hygiene

Having to call someone to open for me everytime I came in or out. Having to ask for basic things like pots, pans and even plates

I had booked and paid to stay at their deluxe double room with own bathroom, however, the first thing when I arrived is that I offered to choose between what I think is the deluxe room and the double room. It was never indicated that their living room is shared with other rooms.

Their deluxe double room is just a single room with its own bathroom. There is nothing double about it, just a small bedroom with a bathroom. Their toilet seat was broken. There were no towels or things for showering as advertised.
It is also advertised that the room has a "private kitchen," which is also false. The kitchen is a shared space, like the tv area is, which was not indicated as such on the advert.

The neighbourhood left me feeling unsafe, and I was forced to rebook a different place at a high cost and almost got left stranded without a place to sleep for the night
