Pros:

We liked the property was away from all the noise in Melachory, and the town was nice a small with lovely resturants. Fira and Oia can be very busy. It was also serviced by transfer taxi's and the bus.

Allez-y les yeux fermés... heu non pas fermés il y a tant d'endroits merveilleux à voir à Santorin !
Pros:

Cydonia Caves, on a aimé le lieu bien sur, la terrasse. L'accueil, le petit déjeuner.
La situation au centre du village de Megalochori. La situation au centre de l'île.
Les restaurants sur la place devant "Les Caves" et même ceux qui sont un peu plus loin.
On pourrait y retourner...

Cons:

A Oia et Fira... évitez les spots Instagram.
Vous allez-y perdre un temps... précieux...
C'est tellement mieux de réaliser des photos personnelles et originales.

La cortesia del personale che ci ha accolto, la location, l'arredamento della stanza di ottimo gusto. La terrazza dove viene servita la colazione.

La colazione, pur essendo preparata con tanta cura, non aveva molta varietà di scelta. Mancano totalmente i dolci. : (
La stanza, essendo ricavata da una cava, era molto umida anche se dotata di deumidificatore bisognava stare molto attenti e svuotare in continuazione il serbatoio dell'acqua e questo non ci è stato detto. Avevo prenotato la stanza per tempo e il giorno dopo che è scaduta la flessibilità della prenotazione è stata pubblicata un'offerta al 50% di quanto ho pagato io questo l'ho trovato particolarmente scorretto.

A Peaceful Hidden Gem in Megalochori. During my visit to Santorini (9–15 October), I stayed in three different villages, and without a doubt, Caldera Caves in Megalochori was the most aesthetically pleasing and soul-soothing of them all. From the moment I stepped inside, I was amazed by the elegant interior design, spacious layout, and the calm, welcoming aura that fills the entire space. It’s one of those places that feels like a retreat, so beautiful that on some days, I didn’t even want to leave to explore!

Megalochori itself is an absolute treasure. It’s a peaceful, traditional village that has preserved its authentic Greek charm, cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses, and blooming bougainvillea at every turn. Unlike the busy areas of Oia and Fira, Megalochori feels intimate and serene, with very little foot traffic, making it perfect for those seeking relaxation and authenticity.

The location is perfect, just a short walk (about 0.9 km) to the famous “Heart of Santorini” viewpoint and right in front of the village square, where you’ll find lovely local restaurants and cafés to enjoy a true taste of Greek cuisine.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with a variety of options each morning. A special mention goes to Justine, who prepares and serves breakfast with genuine warmth and care, her hospitality truly makes you feel at home.

Everything about my stay was exceptional, from the stunning design to the tranquil setting and heartfelt service. I would return in a heartbeat. Location 10/10. 💙

Une expérience MAGNIFIQUE !

Absolument TOUT ! C'était un séjour parfait chez Vivian ! Elle a été très accueillante.
La suite est magnifique, très très bien rénovée et décorée : un coup de cœur !!!
Et que dire de la petite terrasse en hauteur avec le jacuzzi ... des couchers de soleil magnifiques !!!
Les équipements sont parfaits, il ne manque rien !
Le petit déjeuner est incroyable et copieux : mention spéciale aux œufs brouillés à la fêta !!!
Concernant la situation géographique, nous avons adoré être dans ce petit village typique, loin de l'émulation des plus grandes villes. Au pied de l'hébergement, vous trouverez des petits restaurants, des artisans.
Nous avons utilisé le bus pour nous déplacer et cela était très pratique.
Merci pour ce moment !!!

Camera perfetta con jacuzzi sulla terrazza con una vista spettacolare su una tipica chiesa bianca con il tetto blu! Dotata di ogni comfort! La struttura è una bomboniera ed è proprio ciò che ti immagini quando pensi a una struttura in Grecia! Irene è stata super disponibile fin da subito per aiutarci in tutto !
