The room was a good size, lots of space to move around and the bed was big and comfy. It had everything I needed for a 2 night stay.
The large gap under the door meant the air flow to made a loud sound like a wind tunnel. Had to block the gap with a towel.
The bed was very comfy.
What a nightmare to check in, took me over an hour to do the check-in. Called many times & no answer from Reception, left voicemails, no call back.
When you pull up there are large black boom gates saying don't park in the driveway. No sign to say it's Abode Phillip or call the intercome at the gates to get reception, so you can at least park inside the boom gates to collect your key.
No info when booking that you have to pay $25 a night for parking.
Happen to find the underground parking by chance driving around in circles, then couldn't park because there were bollards blocking each parking space. In what world do you have to deal with so much drama just to check-in.
Don't stay here!!!
We were in room 110 AGAIN. we were allocated this room a couple of times back and I put in a complaint then about the continue of a ramp outside the carport next door. You agreed NEVER AGAIN to put us in that room. And yet it happened again. Furthermore the reception did not want anything to do with it and were very dismissive.
You were good value once but we will not be returning
The facilities are new, the interior is clean, and there is no other noise.
The mattress is not high-end, and I feel very tired after sleeping on it. The price fluctuates greatly, with significant differences
The location was as expected.
Stains on the carpet, booked stay with breakfast only to be informed that breakfast was a good 5 minute walk if not more at another property. On a cold Canberra morning if I wanted to wander around I would never have paid for the inclusion!
I really enjoyed my stay at Abode Phillip. The hotel is modern, very clean, and appears almost brand new. The location was perfect for our visit, being just a few minutes' walk from the Woden Squash Centre where our tournament was held.
The check-in staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The room was spacious, spotless, and featured a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed for a comfortable stay. A small detail I appreciated was the large coffee mugs, which made it possible to enjoy a proper-sized tea or coffee rather than the tiny cups often provided elsewhere.
The only downside was the lack of a bottle opener in the room, which would have been a useful addition. Aside from that, everything was excellent. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
No bottle opener.
Room facilities in studio were good with stovetop, dishwasher and clothes washing machine.
The process to park our car and get our keys was one of the most frustrating I've endured. We had booked & received confirmation of a parking spot. All's good we thought. When we arrived st the hotel there was no obvious parking anywhere near reception. We circled the small block 3 times. We saw a few potential unsigned parking spots but they were taken. We finally found an entry to the hotel parking that was open. We then had to park infront of a spot with a bollard leaving one of us behind incase our car was in the way of someone departing. I then found an intercom to allow me to enter the building again with no helpful signage.Luckily I guessed the correct lift to use. When I politely told the receptionist that a message detailing the parking process would have prevented alot of frustration he simply told me that next time I should call him - and that other people had previously had the same problem! I have given this property a low rating due to their complete lack of concern for the problems guests have when arriving with a vehicle. It is a warning for other guests and frankly the good facilities did not make up for the high level of frustration we had at the end of a day's travel. Furthermore, other guests have already let this establishment know that information about the parking is desperately needed and they have been ignored.
