The location was great - right in the village and near the station. The room was comfortable.
I didn't realise I would be in a smoking room so there was a horrible smell of tobacco. Most countries don't allow smoking in bedrooms any more so it didn't occur to me. I suggest they warn people clearly about this. The pillow was quite hard and it would have been nice to have two pillows. I would have liked a bedside light.
You could use the onsen and get free coffee at the hotel next door.
The room was tiny.! There was no place to put luggage. However it did have everything that I needed.
Extremely close to station so very convenient to visit main attractions, tourist shopping & eating street is next to the next. Provide Japanese pyjama too . As this is part of hotel group, offer free storage both on check in & out date. Can also freely to use hotel public bath ( natural hot spring water) and free coffee

The location was great so close to the station. The price was reasonable. The hot pools were an unexpected bonus. Free coffee was nice idea, but due to my health I can't drink it any more.
The signage was not great so it took me a while to find it.
The pillow was awful, and it would have been nice to have two pillows.
It would have been nice to have a bedside light.
Location is top, I stayed for 1 night - totally worth it. Room is fully equipped, clean an nice, although tiny. The staff was super nice and helpful. The main building look nice, though I happened to book the room in the separate building: small but super affordable for 1 person.
The building is a bit smelly most likely because it is surrounded but restaurants and cafes. Not critical, you get used to it quickly and for a short stay for such a price totally worth it.
Central position near the station and the main street.
I wasn't lodged in the main building, which was far more beautiful (I went to the third floor by mistake). I suppose those are the double/triple rooms. My single room instead was located in an adjacent building.
The room was tiny, I almost had no space to open my luggage. The bathroom was even smaller than expected and the water jet in the toilet didn't work properly (when stopping the water jet, it didn't end at once, it decreases and then splashed one last water jet... so you can imagine the first time when I didn't know about it...).
The room didn't feel that much clean, and although the staff was very friendly, I checkedout earlier. I decided to lose my second night money, cancel my morning shinkansen and book an overnight bus for my next destination rather than spending a second night there.
I didn't complain to the staff because it was only a two-night stay and in any case I don't know what they could have done. Anyway, I would never lodge there again, it was the only hotel in my three-weeks trip in Japan that disappointed me so much.
