Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel if you’re on a smaller budget and want a larger than average room.
Pros:

Exceptional customer service at the front desk.
Spacious room, good facilities and overall good value for money.
Good location, close to Wakayama station and a variety of bars and restaurants nearby.

Cons:

It is situated in a red light district so you may or may not be intimated by people trying to get you into their clubs, especially if it is your first time in Japan.

Pros:

The Bathroom is amazing! We changed our booking from a different hotel (on our return trip) after we stayed at Lascala mostly for the bathroom. But the room also is bigger than most other hotel rooms and everything is new and clean! And the staff were very friendly in letting us store our bikes just outside the hotel, but under cover.

Cons:

The hot coffee in the lobby vending Machine is not very good.

Hôtel confortable pour passer quelques nuits
Pros:

Accueil courtois du personnel. Tout est confortable et d'une propreté irréprochable. Petit déjeuner japonais très bien pour 600 yens. Parking juste derrière l'hôtel : premier arrivé, premier servi. Si vous n'arrivez pas le premier, il y a beaucoup de parkings payants, mais bon marché, à proximité de l'hôtel.

Cons:

Système de climatisation/chauffage un peu bruyant. Dommage que l'on ne puisse qu'entrouvrir la fenêtre. Sinon tout est parfait !
