Disappointment!
Pros:

OK at Bistro Pierre; but I expected it to be available at Chez Vivienne

Cons:

I didn't like clambering up 6 flights of very narrow and steep stairs in order to reach my room. I was very surprised that there was no face-to-face contact with any staff; and no cleaning or tidying of the room and bathroom between days. I would not have minded if I had been told these things before I booked and the price of the room reflected it.

Quirky but not very good experience
Pros:

Central location - quirky

Cons:

Entrance through a dark drank alley, entrance unwelcoming
No stand up shower, little in way of tea coffee, no fan - felt a little unloved

Wouldn’t stay in that top room again as it was very cramped
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

The room was cramped because of the sloping roof which made it difficult to walk around. The stuck on light switch in the bathroom fell off during the night so we couldn’t put the light on during the night until we found it and the TV didn’t work.

Disappointing. Please make sure descriptions are accurate and apply to all rooms.
Pros:

The large bathroom

Cons:

In your description of the property you say “each room has a balcony” which is not the case- we had an extremely compact attic room with height restrictions (my husband is 1.88m) and no balcony or views which you also mention.
There are over 40 steep stairs up to the room which also might be worth mentioning.

Pros:

We stayed in Du Barry room, which has a lovely ambience about it, overlooking the town and having a wonderful roll top bath. The bed was very comfortable, with beautiful furniure and decor. It was toasty warm and relaxing. Situated well for the shops, restaurants and the beautiful park .

Cons:

Parking is tricky as you have to pay even on Sundays.

really enjoyed apart from the disturb nights sleep
Pros:

Really good location to town and car park

Cons:

The only complaint i have about Chez Vivienne is that maybe some consideration should have been to the structural strengthening to the room above as
We got a disturbed nights sleep from the constant moving from the occupants in the room above .

Besides the stairs it was a very pleasant stay and I must say extremely well decorated.
Pros:

It was clean tidy and at the centre of the town, easy to walk and to all aspects.

Cons:

I must admit the stairs were extremely difficult for us, being elderly I must it was extremely difficult to get our luggage up and down the stairs.
