Comfortable base in the Faroe Islands with nice views over the city
Pros:

The location is very convenient being close to the city centre but still a bit outside so that you can enjoy the nice views over the city. Our room was very comfortable - warm and nice beds. Everywhere was completely clean. Staff at reception and at breakfast are friendly. The breakfast is very tasty and varied.

Das Personal im Bistro/an der Bar war überfordert und/oder ignorant. Konnten wir uns am ersten Abend nach 30min des ignoriert Werdens noch gerade so auf eigene Initiative eine Bestellung vor Küchenschluss sichern (nach 20min selbst die Speisekarten am Tresen geholt und dann aktiv Personal angesprochen), bot sich am zweiten Abend bei anderer personeller Besetzung dasselbe Bild. Wieder 30min ignoriert worden, die benachbarten Tische wurden beflissen abgeräumt, später eintreffende Gäste prompt bedient.Und nein, es war nicht so vielzu tun. Dann lieber runter nach Torshavn zum Abendessen. Sehr gutes Hotel, aber unterirdisches Bistro/Bar.

Il lato positivo della posizione: splendida, sulle colline sopra la città, con vista spaziale sul centro, mare e montagne. Tutto ciò quando il clima lo consente, per ore ed ore, le nubi possono abbassarsi creando una nebbia terribile con pioggia. In ogni caso, è facilmente raggiungibile in pochi Km e minuti dal porto per/da la nave Norröna – io ero con la mia automobile personale.
Lo staff è stato molto gentile, a partire dal signore presente la notte del mio arrivo con la nave, check-in alle 03:30 (li avevo comunque avvisati prima dell’orario di sbarco), pagamento in loco, tutto bene. Anche al check-out, la ragazza è stata gentilissima. La camera 211 è molto bella e spaziosa ma era lontanissima dall’entrata ed ho dovuto impiegare parecchio tempo per le operazioni di uscita. Tra l’altro, non ho visto ascensore, c’è anche una rampa di scale, è stato davvero faticoso. In compenso, appunto, la vista dalla camera è spettacolare, quando il tempo lo consente.
C’era la vasca anziché la doccia. Personalmente, non amo la vasca, mai. Ammetto però che, in questo caso, la parete protettiva a metà è stata abbastanza efficace, evitando un garantito allagamento, alla fine, è andata comunque.
La colazione è buonissima, tante cose, da ottime fettine di torte, al salmone, verdure, funghi, squisite patate al forno, il famoso salume roll faroese. Ed altro ancora. Anche la sala, molto bella, offre una vista superba verso città, mare e colline. La sala però è sempre incredibilmente affollata a tutte le ore, i tavoli sono molto ravvicinati che è difficile muoversi ovunque. La wifi ha sempre operato bene nello stabile. Il parcheggio esterno è molto ampio anche se, con il tempo continuamente piovoso, se non si trova posto vicino, conviene ovviamente portarla presso l’ingresso temporaneamente per le operazioni di sbarco ed imbarco.

Cons:

Il lato negativo della posizione: molto lontano dal centro a piedi. Occorrono 35-40’ per raggiungere il porticciolo. L’andata è in discesa e viceversa. Il sentiero parte proprio dall’esterno della struttura, impossibile sbagliarsi. Il percorso è bellissimo, prima parte nel bosco, poi nella zona residenziale avvicinandosi al centro fino a raggiungerlo con una via semipedonale dopo la grande fermata dell’autobus con ampia tettoia. Con una semplice cartina che si trova il reception, si segue facilmente (nella parte alta, vi sono anche indicazioni stradali) e la zona è piacevole, sicurissima anche a notte quando arriva, tardi, il buio. L’unico vero problema è uno solo: il clima. Estremamente instabile, con forte vento e pioggia che arriva a sprazzi improvvisa. Farsela soprattutto in salita, la sera, dopo una giornata di cammino, con stanchezza, è sicuramente bella ma estremamente pesante, specie con nebbia e pioggia.
Invece, per visitare la nazione in automobile, va benissimo, lontano dal centro è facile uscire dalla città prendendo verso Klaksvík e Sørvágur.
Bisogna pertanto metterlo in conto, valutare bene se s’intende girare nella bellissima cittadina a piedi partendo da lassù.
La camera che avevo io, 211, è lontanissima dall’entrata. Ovvio che, sapendo ora come dislocato l’hotel, è meglio chiedere, ammesso che sia possibile, camere più vicine.
Infine, la camera non ha frigorifero. Non la segnalo come anomalia perché noto, bensì come miglioria: personalmente, il frigo è vitale per medicine ed altro, ho dovuto attrezzarmi diversamente con altro peso ed altra fatica.

算是当地最好的了，也看到不少国人来住。位置去各个地方玩都挺方便，空间也还可以，还算够三口之家。但没有想象的宽敞。

Cons:

天天早餐找不到空桌子。安排的空间不够，外国老头老太太还好喜欢吃完坐着不走。

„Familienzimmer“ glich einer Sardinenbüchse. Viel zu beengt, wenn zwei Erwachsene mit zwei Kindern und entsprechend Gepäck unterwegs sind.
Mega-Enttäuschung war, dass der Wellnessbereich, insbesondere der Pool, erst ab 16 Jahren zu nutzen war. Weder auf der Website des Hotels noch bei Booking com gab es darauf irgendeinen Hinweis. Wir haben das Hotel aber gerade wegen des Pools gebucht.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut. und hat normalerweise 10 Punkte verdient.

Cons:

Im Vergleich zu dem wirklich perfekten Hotel ist das Essen im Restaurant deutlich zu schlecht.
Ich habe ein Fischgericht gegessen
das bestand aus 5% Fisch und 95% irgend einen Teig darum. Wirklich schlecht. Das passt überhaupt nicht
zum sontigen Erscheinungsbild des Hotels. schade. Dafür ist das Restaurant viel zu teuer.

Dejligt ophold på et fantastisk hotel
Pros:

Vi fik et værelse i den nye fløj. Værelset var nyt, meget lækkert indrettet og havde (ligesom alle andre værelser på hotellet) en fantastisk udsigt over Torshavn.

Rengøring af værelse først kl 15-16.00 var et træls tidspunkt, hvor tit kom hjem fra
