It’s a small hotel conveniently located close to restaurants, shops and two main yoga studios in Ubud. Lovely pool with funny birds and squirrels. Spacious room and a decent breakfast. And the team are great - everyone was helpful and friendly!
The hotel is by a noisy street. The rooms would benefit from some renovation but generally they were okay for the price point.
Lovely place, magic garden. Breakfast on the terrace was so nice. Staff very kind and carrying.
Oase van rust midden in Ubud

Quite, small hotel, away from the road so pool area and gardens and lovely and clam. Nice breakfast brought to room each morning. Rooms were spacious. Can walk to restaurants/ cafes in central Ubud. Staff were helpful
Bed and pillows were not the most comfortable. Refrigerator was loud in bedroom. Could hear traffic from road

as it is in the nature there’s many bugs and ants which you can get rid of using some products

The location, pool and staff at Saunbari were amazing. The location is not on the main street of Ubud, however it was a good location to be within 20 minutes walk of almost anywhere I wanted to go and very easy to get a Gojek if I didn't feel like walking. The rooms are nice and clean, big comfy king bed, lovely balcony and basic ammenities. I really enjoyed waking up early and sitting on the balcony watching the birds and squirrels(?) playing in the nearby palm trees. The pool is ample and nice to relax by with visits from plenty of butterflies and birds and frogs if you stay into the dusk. The room was very clean and well appointed!
I must preface this with the fact that nothing listed below was a huge problem and I still had a really lovely stay. There are a few things to note, small details that could be improved.
1. The water pressure and temperature in the bathroom was very irregular - a common thing in Bali - but it did mean that I had a couple of showers that were an ice cold dribble of water.
2. The air-conditioner would also leak some days leaving a big puddle on the floor.
3. The sheets on the bed seemed to be too small for the bed and would lift in the night, like a queen sheet on a king bed.
4. The noise of the traffic was almost constant and I definitely was reaching for earplugs every night, .
5. The split ring on the key was very bent and stretched and the room tag kept falling off, a minor thing but an easy fix to elevate the stay.
6. My drinking water station in the room also leaked one day, I was able to fix it by tightening the faucet on it but came back to a big puddle of water on the floor.
7. A few more coat hangers would be nice for guests staying longer than 3 days.
I want to reiterate that most of these things were not a big enough of an inconvenience for me to do anything about them and the staff were very helpful and happy to look into anything I did mention. I am only mentioning them here to provide feedback.
Beautiful place! Loved my room and little terrace. Staff is so nice and short walk to the Main Street with shops, cafes and restaurants. Also really enjoyed the pool and the sunbeds. 10/10 - would definitely stay again.
Hidden wonderland in the heart of Ubud!
Ubicado en un lugar muy tranquilo. Conviene quedarse en habitaciones del segundo piso porque la vista al despertar es hermosa, selva pura. El desayuno también muy rico.
Dice en booking que tenía servicios de masaje/spa, pero no tiene.
It was at a very nice location, walkable distance to the center of ubud. There is a supermarket in the road, very convenient The staff is very helpful and friendly. Nothing is to much of a burden for them. They are so nice.
