I thought the breakfast was very good, more than enough for even the most hungry. Ample coffee or tea with juice. With the most hospitable of hosts.

OUTSTANDING!! We have just returned from a 3 night stay and we have booked again to go in a few weeks to take my parents as it was so great. The hosts, Nicky and John could not have done more for us, they went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. The apartment was spotless and very well finished and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The shower is so powerful and really refreshing, a perfect way to start the day. The perfect start to the day continues when you have the full English breakfast, cooked to perfection and made to your choice, I was shocked when I found out that is all included in the price. The menu for the evening meals has many choices and the ones we chose were great. To make the stay even better, there is a Sunday carvery with excellent choice of meats and veg that was just the cherry on the cake for our stay. The Banoffi pie for dessert was also lovely. We have a dog who is not the most well behaved when other dogs are in the room and Nicky went to a lot of trouble to seat us away from the other dogs. I cannot speak highly enough of this property and hosts. We have stayed in places before from Booking.com that are rated over 9 but they did not compare to this property that should be a 10. Location is also fantastic and is only a short drive to many North Devon attractions.

Lovely traditional pub. Very attentive and friendly staff. LandLady/Owner is brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent home cooked food, and plenty of it (husband/co-owner) is Chef. Breakfast was extremely good with seconds/double up offered FOC

It was perfect to accommodate dogs. Great sized immaculate room. Pub meals (right next door) were really handy and tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Owner was very accommodating and super friendly. Everything was perfect- will definitely use again and such a convenient location for North Devon. An extremely positive experience- thank you!

The room was comfortable - very clean and inviting. Bathroom was clean and the overall rating from MANY places we have stayed is exceptional. The staff were helpful and owners were friendly and welcoming. And the carvery was one of the best roasts we’ve had ❤️

Everything you could possibly want in a breakfast all in the price even Farmers breakfast. Dinners were extra but all cooked fresh and tasted delicious 🍷🥰, The owners Nicky and John could not be more helpful and were determined they were going to roll me out the door 🥰. You will have to reserve your place at the carvery on a Sunday or you won't get in the car park which is quite big as well 😄. The location in Newton Tracey is well placed for any coastal resort along the A39, Clovelly is very nice 👏. Listening to only birdsong is very therapeutic for me👏.

Lovely room great food did everything for my partners allergies as she has a lot. Really enjoyed our stay there,great hosts and the staff were friendly and helpful
