Pros:

We arrived on motorbikes and the hotel very happily allowed us to park them in the carpark at the rear and also blocked both bikes in with their own vehicles for added security! We have never been offered anything like this previously 😊
There is a vending machine in the hotel offering all kinds of items that could be needed including toothbrush/toothpaste ect, a nice touch!
The room was extremely clean and had a beautiful sea view,
Breakfast was perfect, bar and restaurant for evening meals available too 😊

Lovely family seaside hotel
Pros:

I came for an overnight stay with my grand dog. We were greeted warmly and our room was nice, cosy and clean. Lovely clean bathroom and shower. Bonus view of the sea and the fishing boats. Tea and coffee facilities and good choice of TV channels. Very quiet so great nights sleep. The breakfast was lovely and we had a great seaview. Met the owner who was lovely and proper family hotel. This is a gem in Redcar.

Cons:

Parking was a little difficult so not to block anyone in. Got parked around the corner but was worried about incurring parking fine overnight. Should have booked direct for a better deal but still good value.

As a family I loved the fact it was right on the sea front, but it was out the way of the busy areas. It was a beautiful room and we haven’t got a single complaint.

Cons:

Parking. While it wasn’t a huge problem, if your not fast your last. On arrival we were lucky enough to get a permit and park out front, but on the second night we were later back and ended up parking way down at another hotel. Not a huge problem, because we’re all fit and healthy, but for others less mobile it may be a problem.

Lovely Stay and Friendly Owners
Pros:

We stayed at Claxton Hotel as a couple and had a great experience. The location is excellent and very convenient, with supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants all nearby. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

Our room was absolutely clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We also appreciated the late check-in option, which made our arrival much easier. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Perfect
Pros:

Nice and clean good seafront location, staff were exceptional and very accommodating they couldn’t do enough for you to help. Food was amazing and nothing was too much trouble, compliments to the chef and all the staff.
