Overall we had a very good and memorable experience.
Pros:

Accommodation was clean and comfortable in a separate block of four units beside the hotel. We stayed for one night only, as a stopover between Esperance and Albany. Drinks and dinner in the hotel bar provided a great experience and insight into living in and around a small country town.

Cons:

All good for a small town stopover.

I would stay there again if I’ve done in a long travel only if the hotel was open as the room was nice and cozy
Pros:

I like the cozy little room air-conditioner work well TV had a 1910 set box on it which took 12 hours to work out how to operate

Cons:

I didn’t like how the hotel was closed for renovations and was not told this until I paid my booking. Nice of them to leave a food pack in the freezer. Pity It taste like shit.

Hi we arrived at the ongerup hotel to find the place locked up we tried the phone number you sent us, the lady that answered the phone informed me she longer had anything to do with he hotel. We went to their website to find another number to se a note saying they are currently closed very disappointing. I note you have taken $132.87 from my account.

Fantastic room
Pros:

The room was really clean. The bed was very comfortable, overall it was one of the best motel rooms I've used.

Cons:

It was a shame the pub was closed for renovations. We were told this and the owners left mesls in the fridge for us.

I would definitely stay here again during a future business trip.
Pros:

Great communication from the staff, who were very flexible with my arrival time. They made me feel welcome and did their best to accommodate all my needs.

A little rural gem
Pros:

Ongerup is a quiet little rural township, which you possibly would not visit unless you had a relative or friend there, or passing through. The hotel staffer was very friendly, showing us to our room and providing us with all the information we needed. Our room was compact yet comfortable, with a very nice bathroom and a bonus breakfast facilities (cereals, and milk) which was a nice touch. Very clean and comfy beds too. We would certainly stay here again.

Cons:

We had difficulty getting the room to be completely dark, as light was filtering in from the outside.

Situated central to exploring the area. A good sized room with table for meals. Very clean with large shower. Comfortable beds with high quality linen.

A great outback experience
Pros:

The Ongerup Hotel provided a real outback Australian experience - which we really appreciated. The locals at the hotel - were most welcoming. Particularly Hayley (the housekeeper) told us about the history of the hotel and the local area. It is great to see a small community come together to ensure the hotel and local services survive. Although the amenties are relatively basic, our room was clean, hot water was plentify, the bedding was great and the addition of tea, coffee, and cereals in the room was appreciated. The meal at the hotel was also very pleasant.
