Pros:

Staff and parking underground.

Cons:

It was the dirtiest floor carpet i have ever seen in a hotel, i am sorry i didn t make a photo ! Made me sick looking at it. Unconfortable pillows. The fridge did not work and actually was warmer than in the room temp. Not ok

Overrated 4 stars hotel
Pros:

We liked most the dimensions of the room we received and also the friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

The 4 stars rating I believe is overestimated for the facilities offered. The hotel has 2 gyms in 2 different small rooms with no air flow, and it can become quite unpleasant. The towels we received had holes in them - clean, but with holes. I thinks this is really unacceptable for a 4stars. The toilet was making a lot of noise when sitting down and even moving like almost falling apart. Each morning we would find bugs on the bathroom floor. The ventilation of the bathroom was also super loud and I guess one of the reasons is because was not cleaned for a long time (you could see the thick dust on it). The price of the breakfast is quite expensive for the offer, but we learnt that Budapest is a quite expensive city when it comes to food.

Disappointing cleanliness and service on my birthday – Room 210

I stayed at Hotel Foldana in Budapest for my birthday weekend with my partner. I booked this hotel on Booking.com and, as it was his first time in Budapest, I wanted to surprise him with a welcome message and a bottle of champagne (for which I was charged €25, arranged six days in advance). We checked in on 16 October 2026 around 9 p.m. after arriving from Budapest airport and were given Room 210. When we first entered the room the welcome message and champagne were not prepared. Right after check-in we went out for dinner and a Danube cruise, returning to the room around midnight. The welcome items were then provided, but the champagne was warm and was not presented in a manner consistent with the standards I expected from a 4-star hotel. I had looked forward to a special celebration in a 4-star hotel, but the condition of the room and the way the issues were handled left me feeling disappointed and frustrated on what should have been a happy occasion.
Shortly after we turned off the lights, my partner felt something moving on his leg. When we switched the lights back on we found a small shiny black beetle (carpet beetle) on the carpet. Looking more carefully around the room we noticed several cleanliness problems:
Multiple insects, including the carpet beetle, live ants on the carpet (which we recorded in a short video the next evening), and a large dead long-legged insect in the corner near the terrace door.
Visible stains, debris and hairs on the carpet.
Long black hair on the bed sheet and on the bathroom floor (neither of us has black hair – my partner has short grey hair and I have long blond hair).
Tiny brown spots on the bed sheet.
Dust on the mini-fridge.
We called reception around 2 a.m. The night-shift receptionist came up, told us he was alone and had limited experience, and was not able to fully resolve the situation. He said the hotel was fully booked and therefore could not offer us another room.
