Very well finished inside, contemporary and very comfortable.
I initially walked past the door as google maps showed the address to be further up the street.
Nichts
Wir kamen an und haben auf die 2 Telefonnummer angerufen, aber es hat niemand abgenommen. Auch auf WhatsApp bekamen wir keine Antwort. Wir lasen dann die 72 Zeilen über 3 Nachrichten und fanden zufällig den Eingangscode. Zuerst stand viel wegen Parkieren und bla bla bla. Das wichtigste stand irgendwo.
Dann stiegen wir in den 3. Stock direkt unter dem Dach. Die Temperatur war mindestens 45°C. Die beiden Dachfenster und die 10cm Isolation und d das seit Tagen nicht gelüftet Zimmer war zu schlafen ungeeignet.
Und das nach einem langen Tag auf dem Motorrad bei 35°C.
Morgens um 2 Duschte ich noch.als kalt um für den nächsten Tag wieder einigermaßen fit zu sein.
Great location - right in the town centre so very close to restaurants for an evening meal. Stayed there for one night when visiting Brecon Beacons. Room was lovely.

Auf relativ kleinem Raum sehr gut optimiert; wir waren erst besorgt, weil man Codes bekommt und de facto keinen Angestellten oder Management begegnet. Allerdings ist die Email Kommunikation Top, jeder Wunsch wurde sofort erfüllt, jede Frage direkt beantwortet.
Lage an der Hauptstraße ist irreführend: es handelt sich um eine Fußgängerzone mit leider viel Leerstand, daher ist es wirklich sehr ruhig.
Es war nicht schlimm, ist allerdings erwähnenswert: man muss auf den vom Hotel avisierten nahegelegenen Parkplatz fahren und sein Gepäck von dort ca 300m transportieren. Direkt am Hotel gibt es keine Lademöglichkeit.
I stayed here while visiting the Brecon Beacons with my dog, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. I was in Room 7, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was a lovely touch that the hotel provided dog bowls for my dog, which made us both feel welcome.
The only thing I felt was missing was a fridge in the room. It would have been useful, but it certainly wasn’t a deal-breaker.
Merthyr Tydfil itself felt a little rough in, and I found it surprising that most of the coffee shops didn’t open until 9am, which was later than I would have liked. For dinner if you’re happy to drive 30–40 minutes, there are some fantastic country pubs and restaurants nearby. There’s also a retail park round the corner from the hotel with a good selection of restaurants if that’s more your style.
Cardiff is only around a 30-minute drive away and is definitely worth a visit. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel as a good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and South Wales.
The property is clean. Rooms well laid out and good amenities.
It is a staff-less property i.e. no reception, so no real way of contacting someone for extras such as an iron, coffee, etc

There was limited air flow and no air con, I visited in a heatwave so unfortunately the fan only circulated warm air. No mini fridge either to keep drinks cool. No peep hole on the door or additional latch to lock from the inside only, as a solo female traveller this would have added a sense of safety

You're not told about the stairs and we were glad we were on the first floor.

Location was great for what we needed, just a bit rough. Litter on the streets and people hanging around near the hotel entrance.
The hotel itself was great, easy to do In all ways. Just wish the shower was slightly bigger.

You know when they say pictures tell a story well these pictures in the advert are definitely true to the eye in person with what the hotel is and far more because this hotel is exceptional beyond what I expected it to be 👌 being on a high street the only thing I would’ve changed is the parking 🅿️ it was a few minutes walk in the rain ☔️ but don’t let that put you off because you won’t be disappointed in what your greeted with once in side. Even the hallways are absolutely stunning and spotlessly clean and cleverly designed and tastefully decorated as was my room and the bed was comfortable too and beautiful made up 🙂
Nothing that I didn’t like with the property it’s self.
I didn’t take any photos only a video and it’s shame booking.com won’t let me up load a video because I thought a video would really show it off with the cosy lighting and tasteful decor 😍🤌
