We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. The rooms are in individual, spacious rondavels in a beautiful garden absolutely teeming with bird life. We also had excellent meals in the reception/restaurant area and enjoyed the walk downhill from the lodge to the marshland and "floating bridge". Our room had an excellent guide to birds sighted in and around the garden, plus details about walks in the vicinity, both of which we greatly appreciated. Also an excellent base for exploring the Nyamata sites nearby, and in general a nice alternative to downtown Kigali.
The host is really welcoming and warm, service was great and breakfast/dinner were really good, the lodge was comfortable and the communal area well decorated.
Rooms were confortable however It was a bit warm when we arrived, maybe next time the property host could have a fan in the room just in case.
