Ilfracombe three day Break
Pros:

The room was very clean and the bedding and towels were absolutely spotless. The location was very good. The staff were very informative and helpful. The hotel provides nightly entertainment. We were well catered for at breakfast which was of a very high standard. We had three very peaceful nights sleep.

Cons:

We were unable to keep the bedroom window open as it is a sash window and kept closing, the shower is an over the bath shower attached to the bath taps and proved difficult to regulate to a safe temperature, we couldn't run a bath as we couldn't operate the diverter lever to allow the water to flow from the taps.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am "Strand" (Steine) und im Zentrum. Restaurants und Geschäft sind gut zu erreichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Leider nicht sehr sauber und alte Ausstattung.

I have discovered bed bugs in our room. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards of the hotel.
Despite a complaint lodged with the management company, they refused to acknowledge the presence of bedbugs in the room; in that case, future guests should be made aware of this.
On top of that, the hotel walls are so thin that you can hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. It is absolutely impossible to sleep there due to the constantly creaking hallway floors and slamming doors.

A lovely stay in a great location, with friendly staff, delicious breakfast.
Pros:

Great location in a lovely part of town, close to restaurants, the cinema, and everything we needed. The hotel was very clean. It is a little dated, but that didn’t bother us at all.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and we also really enjoyed having the bar and evening entertainment available.
We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
