The air conditioning was entirely inadequate. Even with added fans the room never cooled down.
Practical location next to station
Rooms tend to smell, no showers only tubs, old stained carpets. AC doesn’t work. It’s more like ventilation.
This place was located right next to the main station, which was fantastic. The breakfast was great also. The hotel room itself was very cozy, but I've come to expect this from hotels in the big cities in Switzerland. I did appreciate the old-school feel of this hotel, which came right down to the hotel keys (which are attached to a hilariously large weight/holder). The front lobby offered to store your keys while you went off exploring for the day, which was nice because I couldn't imagine having to carry that everywhere.
There is one aspect of the hotel room that was a major design flaw. The bathroom has a large clouded glass wall that's shared with the main room. This gives the bathroom a more open and natural feeling aesthetic. However, it does not block out any light from the bathroom. This means if somebody uses the bathroom at night, the entire room gets lit up. Since I was just recovering from sickness and only getting light sleep, I was woken up in the middle of the night by one of my party members using the bathroom. I may have been able to sleep through it otherwise, but regardless I find this to be a significant flaw in the room.

The location, the kind and caring staff, and the air conditioning. The AC helps with a flood night's sleep to prep for a LONG travel day back home.
Stayed here 2nd year in a row as a pre-position next to the train station for the next day's early departure from Genève Aèroport (GVA). We fly to/from Geneva and stay in France for almost 90 days of bike touring in 4-5 countries.
Last year = excellent, this year = excellent +, and here's why. Upon arriving by taxi with our two bicycle cases (large, awkward, 39 kg), two pieces of heavy luggage, and two backpacks, it was clear we had our hands full. One of the staff members came out to offer her help, which we gravely appreciated.
Later, that day we needed a taxi to get to the emergency room as soon as possible, and we asked for help from the same person at the front desk. Her call was critical to quick action, and the taxi was there in five minutes. My apologies for not getting your name (poor manners on my part) but we were room 514 on 24-Jul-2026. Thank you! Mille fois!
Both years ('25, '26) we left before breakfast was available (06:00) so we cannot comment. Maybe next year. We went to the COOP downstairs/under the train station and bought lunch, dinner, and breakfast items. Very convenient!

De airco was een ramp ,veel hernie, moest s nachts uit anders kan je niet slapen.
De tv was slecht eentje uit de oertijd, hing aan het plafond.slecht beeld en nog slechter geluid.
Personeel was wel correct.
Location is great, staff is friendly and very helpful in all my needs, it is my prefered hotel in Geneva, where I come often for work and pleasure.
