Warm & sunny rooms, good location
Very comfortable hotel with modern facilities. We use this hotel regularly and have never had a problem. Walkable distance to shops and restaurants
On arrival, the receptionist was very helpful in arranging early access to our room, given we were travelling with an 11-month-old. The housekeeping staff did their best to ensure the room was ready for us ahead of the usual check-in time.
When I called the hotel to follow up on whether our accommodation was ready, the receptionist was quite abrupt with me. She explained she had tried calling my Australian number and hadn't been able to reach me. I acknowledge I should have provided a number that was contactable while in NZ, however the tone she used was unwarranted and took away from what had otherwise been a positive stay.
