The place was everything I expected and more. The accommodations were exactly what I expected, Nothing fancy but everything needed to make my stay comfortable. The best thing about this place was the food market downstairs and the restaurant. Hands down the most popular spot for locals, lunch and dinner the place is packed. Even before the lunch crowd arrives, there are patrons gathering up freshly prepared food ranging from Japanese baked goods, sliced tuna and salmon, sushi rolls and noodles. OMG, the food was so good every time I passed through the entrance I would veer off into the market isles and pick up more food. Besides the quality of the food, the prices were super affordable. For easily under $10, I could eat tuna and salmon, rolls and a drink.
The hotel is a little rustic but for the price, it is well worth it. The only real complaint I had was the mattress. Not a comfortable mattress by any means. Actually, it was comparable to the little foam mattresses I used throughout deployments to the middle east.
Loved the checkin process. So smooth. Our flight landed at 2AM and with 2 young children, getting them to bed quickly was so important. The driver from the hotel was waiting outside with a sign and a security guard on sight met us and took us to our room immediately and gave us our key. No need to wait at a desk or anything.
There was some renovations and construction happening inside the hotel. Our flight landed at 2AM and we only arrived at the hotel around 3:30 AM so our whole family was exhausted. The loud construction noise woke our children up, which then woke us up. Quite upsetting.
Great AC and everything I need is either down stairs.
Clean and convenient.
Great AC.
It is super convenient to access the store with prepared packaged foods from the deli, having both directly downstairs from the hotel. All staff members, both hotel and store staff, are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a coin op laundry room on the 2nd floor.
The bathroom sink faucet makes a loud clanking sound whenever you turn on the faucet. Also, the long neck faucet is facing directly in the path where you would spit when you brush your teeth. Perhaps change the faucet head. Another issue is the back stairs on the side of the building. Be very careful. Some of the steps tilt/bend whenever you step on them. Thankfully, there's an elevator in the hotel. But it's on the backside of the hotel. I mostly use the door located in the dining hall inside the store. When the store closes at 9pm, then you have two options: back stairs on the side of the building or the elevator. The back stairs are faster. I hope they improve the functionality of it.
The staff are friendly and the place is clean.
The tenant next door were so noisy at around 0530 in the morning.
it has everything! Room, store, restaurant and great customer service! and the food is to die for!
