The view was superb. Huge credit to the owners for accommodating my request for room/view. Location and access to the beach is equally fantastic, only being a short walk.

SUNSHINE BEACH IS LOVELY
Pros:

Sunseeker is in an elevated position so has good distant ocean views, and is located by beach access 34 and down lots of steps to a fabulous beach. Beautiful sunrise. An easy 10 minutes walk to Sunshine Beaches few shops and an excellent Surf Club. Our unit (7) was immediately behind pool, with a decent size lounge/kitchen/dining and 2 small bedrooms – would be great for families but not much privacy being by the pool. In retrospect would have preferred a top floor unit
Kitchen well equipped - even had sharp knives! Well done.

Cons:

It’s an older place showing early stage signs of wear & tear here & there - semi broken sliding doors out front - ceiling fan in lounge had black fan blade edges (10 mins work to clean/paint it); louvres in double bedroom broken. Just a regular old style double bed....pretty small if you're used to a Queen or King. Small bedroom with 2 single beds looked OK. Bathroom OK
Indoor and outdoor dining tables - top of outdoor table detached from legs. Lounges very comfy but couldn't find TV instructions so took ages to find regular TV.
Had to re wash a few items of crockery/cutlery before could use them, which seems to be a common occurrence these days. Pity there’s only one double power point in the kitchen. Bosch cook top & oven work fine but oven dial temps & settings worn off.
Nespresso m/c needs service or replacement - previous guest’s old capsule jammed inside but managed to get it out. 4 Bluecup coffee capsules supplied - they don't position correctly when you depress lever in machine. Finally got it going but horrible flavour coffee - glad we brought our own! No salt/pepper/oil & not much else by way of kitchen supplies.
Reception was not open at any time we passed it during our 2 night stay, so didn’t get any personal local insights into the area, and no compendium in room

Comfortable stay in Sunshine Beach.
Pros:

Good size apartment on ground floor with lovely sea view. Comfortable bedding. Easy parking under cover.

Cons:

Although apartment looked freshly painted, the building is obviously old and a little tired. The front door was difficult to open. No afternoon sun in this apartment which I guess would be great in the summer. I was happy to wash the outside windows down to see the view. Some salt and pepper for cooking would be a helpful touch.

very old, needs renovation and a big general cleaning. Heating / Air Con was broken couldn’t heat the apartment so it was cold and wet. At check out we were told that they already know about that but at check in nobody told us

When cleaning rooms they need to check lightbulbs. The main lounge light wasn’t working, neither was the outside light.

The view. The well stocked kitchen. The extra blankets .

great space for a holiday

The location was excellent - easy walk to beach, local shops and the Surf Club yet no excessive traffic or pedestrian noise.
View was lovely and it was so good to sit out on the balcony for breakfast in the sunshine.

Layers of dust on ceiling fans came off when we started them so we gave them a wipe. Vent in toilet completely blocked with dust.

Dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Luckily the sheets & towels were clean but the rest of the apartment was filthy. Hair and toothpaste still on both bathroom cabinet tops.

Pros:

Great apartment with everything you need. Direct access to the front lawn with sea views. Easy walking distance to local surf club and beach, bus stops for Hastings street close by if you don’t want to drive. It’s set in a peaceful neighbourhood. We didn’t get time to try the onsite pool or spa but looked very nice. Thank you to the hosts who left a welcome gift for my wife as they knew we were there celebrating her 50th, it was a wonderful touch.

Cons:

We had to do a little wandering about to find our designated parking bay, not a major but a sign showing directions would be a good idea, probably not anything to do with the host, more the people who run the complex.
