It was so special and loved every minute
Pros:

The hospitality, the amazing friendly staff, the location, the feeling. Everything was magical!

Lovely.
Pros:

Wonderful staff, wonderfully appointed, immaculately clean and cosy and excellent food and ambience.

Cons:

We were in a room on the opposite side of the hotel parking lot and had to trek our bags across mud and uneven stones, through groups of people gathered for dinner and drinks at the hotel- it was a bit embarrassing- but we were also understanding that it's a historic setting and there's only so much that can be done about the layout/floors.

Pros:

We stayed in one of the villa next to the hotel. It is pretty new, comfortable,nice and super clean . Plenty places for a family of four in the ski trip. We also had a couple of dinners in the hotel, foods are exceptionally beautiful.

Pros:

It’s seriously cute, authentic, cosy and old. The staff were awesome, the food excellent and the little extras like the spa, the outside fire etc all added to the experience.

Great location, we would go back but probably not for as along.
Pros:

Perfect location for Cardrona resort, super quick to get to mountain and back again.

Cons:

We didn’t like that there wasn’t a preference in the restaurant given to hotel guests. It often felt like we were an inconvenience.

Charming Cardrona
Pros:

Its a must stay because its unique. The hot tub was a winner too! No ghost issues. And brekky pastries from the new bakery were top notch.

So much value in peak ski season
Pros:

$211 in Matariki wasn't expecting much when the $300 hotel the previous night only gave us a bed. No speck of dust, refurbished while retaining the historic charm. Loved the hot tub and vibe.
