The pool and housekeeping staff were fab

Cons:

Beds very uncomfortable, hard and lumpy, pillows were very poor quality and very small double beds- 2 mattress toppers on the one bed obviously to hide the fact they are old and past it.
I’ve stayed in 3* in newquay and this is more like 2*

The location is fabulous, right in front of the beach . The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious. Staff are very friendly. The facilities are great! The hotel is dog friendly which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful time and would have lovely to have stayed longer.

A bad experience, would not return again.

The location is fantastic. Good breakfast.

Cons:

Unfortunately there were major construction works going on at the front of the building which severely impacted our stay, we were not made aware of these prior to the visit. There is parking at the hotel, when we checked in they asked me to put my reg in but did not advise that there is pre booking of parking, after arriving after we went out we didn’t realise we wouldn’t get back into the car park as all the spots were pre reserved. I don’t know why they didn’t explain at check in? We were assigned the wrong rooms which took half an hour to sort out, we were not even offered a drink whilst we waited. Rooms have been renovated, but there were a few issues, one being the bathroom tap had extremely hot water which burnt (mildly) my hand.

A wonderful hotel
Pros:

We booked in here after leaving our original hotel for the night because it was absolutely filthy. Consequently we arrived very late and were welcomed by the wonderful staff on duty who declared that we had been upgraded to a room with patio doors as they were concerned that the room that had been assigned to us was too warm to stay in. My shoulders actually sagged in relief to be welcomed at a well run, clean and beautiful hotel by kind and smiling staff even at such at late hour. And the thoughtful upgrade made my night, especially coming from our previous "horror hotel".
The room was clean and well laid out. It had every amenity you could wish for, even down to providing a tower fan which I immediately set to use. The bathroom was clean and modern and had an excellent range of spa grade products provided for use. Robes and slippers were provided in the wardrobe. We immediately felt at home and relaxed here. Our stay included use of the pool and sauna which I made full use of after a leisurely breakfast. These facilities were very clean, modern and welcoming. I spent a good hour truly relaxing.
Breakfast was of a very high standard with the option of choosing from menu items or the breakfast buffet. We ordered the eggs royale. Beautifully cooked poached eggs and lots of salmon. High praise from a former chef! The breakfast staff were extremely accomodating seating us at a beautiful table overlooking the ocean. They were friendly and attentive throughout.
The beach steps are across the road from the hotel which meant we walked our dog along fistral beach at 5am watching the sunrise. A perfect location.
What I enjoyed most of all was that the staff at this hotel made us feel relaxed, at home and at ease whilst retaining a professional manner.
I would happily stay here again. This hotel gets top marks from me.

Pleasant hotel
Pros:

Excellent location opposite Fistral Beach, also close to Newquay town centre.

Clean and comfortable room, with great tea & coffee tray, high quality goods.

Staff all friendly and helpful

Cons:

Popular and sought-after location does make a pretty big issue when it comes to parking! We did come at peak time, but the very limited car parking within the hotel did make things difficult and required us to park road-side several minutes from the property. However, this was the only real negative during our stay.

Cons:

L’établissement n’est pas responsable de la chaleur mais devra tenir compte du dérèglement climatique et installer la climatisation ds les chambres qui étaient des fournaises et cela a un peu gâché le séjour. Difficile de dormir et de récupérer
