Location convenient
Breakfast was poor
Hotel was noisy, balcony door did not stop any outside noise coming in, overall sound proofing was terrible we had noise from people on our floor and the room above past midnight on both nights. No ability to unpack clothes in to a drawer, pole for closing curtains fell off first time we tried to use it
a good place to stay
all's good
Close to mall.
Beds were to hard for me.

Friendly helpful staff, great location
The Queen Room is more spacious.
The A/C wasn’t working properly—it only worked as a fan or heater. The bathroom ventilation wasn’t very good, and the Wi-Fi was so weak that it was basically unusable. The outside of the hotel and the entrance also looked run-down and could really use some maintenance. the photos looked AI-generated and didn’t match reality,
If come by Air Canada plane, bus shuttle from airport drops off luggage basically next to Highliner hotel. Very convenient. Receptionist very helpful. Walked to sidewalk with me to show me how to get to Save on Foods (about 10-15 minute walk and also Shoppers Drug Mart close by). New clean bathroom. Had microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. $12.50 by taxi including tax to rail station. Gave me free buffet breakfast, not great but free is very good and I liked the oatmeal. Room quiet.
Big closet with 8 hangers but no drawers at all. Table with lower shelf beside bed. Finding Reception could be confusing. Big room so had to give me additional heater to heat it. Did provide enough heat. Also refrigerator not plugged in. When I complained refrigerator not on, they plugged it in but why not plug it in 1 or 2 hours before I get there. Not enough lights. No safety deposit box.
It was close to everything.
The rooms were not clean and smelt like stale pee. We woke up in the middle of the night to a mouse running around on the ground. Keep in mind we were staying on floor 8. We informed reception and they didn’t do anything at all just said “sorry about that” and that was it. Our room had no AC so it got quite muggy inside. The towels were stained and shower curtain was moldy
the fact the hotel is undergoing upgrades that are needed, the restaurant was great for breakfast, a $10.00 discount was offered on the meal, food was very good.
parking was an issue, the front desk advised parking on the yellow areas would be towed, suggested across the street in the open dirt road (not theirs) but said it'd be OK. the room had been updated, however, the chair broke when sat on, the sliding patio door was nearly impossible to open. it was off the beaten track a little so going out in the evening felt a little uncomfortable.
Staff is nice and welcoming
