We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning was delicious. All the staff were welcoming and efficient.
Very quiet and peaceful, even though just off the A38, so a very convenient stop on our way to Salcombe. Buckfast Abbey literally on the doorstep to have a wander around. Very close to an electric charging station
The food was good, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were spotless and modern, with a really good shower.
Nothing
Everything! We stayed with our two dogs, room was clean, bed was comfy and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I was able to walk the dogs on the grounds safely and around the abbey. Would definitely stay here again
Nothing...just wished I was staying longer than one night!
Location is very quiet and peaceful. Staff very helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Everywhere was clean and tidy.
Double bed was too small for two adults. Room could be more spacious. No air con, only one small table fan. No hot breakfast. At £117 per night for a basic double room, the room was overpriced.
The most beautiful stay, with kind, caring staff, delicious food, a very comfortable, calm and peaceful room and so beautiful to be so close to Buckfast Abbey.
This hotel is very special. First, the setting is exceptional as it is nestled in Buckfast village. Secondly, it's part of the Buckfast Abbey complex and is run by the Abbey authorities. The religious context is in no way obvious but there is an ethos that seems to inspire all the staff who are exceptionally kind and solicitous.
All of the facilities are first rate, and it even offers complimentary charging for electric cars!

Nothing to dislike !
Die Unterkunft ist einfach ein Schmuckstück!
It was beautifully situated, so calm and peaceful in the grounds of the Abbey. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The onsite restaurant was very pleasant both for evening meal and breakfast. The continental breakfast was plentiful, food was good quality. All staff were pleasant, polite and helpful
Our main issue was that we only discovered the included breakfast was continental in the email sent by the hotel after we booked. Hot breakfast was an additional charge. We had plenty to eat and enjoyed the breakfast but clarity on this, prior to booking (i e on Booking.com hotel info.), was an omission. The toiletries provided were basic, especially given the overall high standard.
Peaceful and elegant.

Lovely location & very comfortable rooms. Lovely and quiet, apart from the gentlemen under our window giving his bank details (loudly) on his mobile phone! Friendly staff. It was my partner's birthday & they gave us a birthday dessert in the restaurant, which was really thoughtful. Very nice buffet breakfast included.
We use this Hotel when we go to the theatre in Plymouth, only half hour drive to the centre. Anywhere we stayed in Plymouth previously was very noisy.
A bit disappointed that the only truly vegetarian option in the restaurant was pizza.
Extremely clean, quiet and peaceful. High quality finish on everything like a modern church. Oak every where. Breakfast pretty good.
Bed was very firm including pillows but still high quality.
Everything.
