Great short 2 night stay for the gala
Pros:

we have stayed here before so we knew that everything was ok here, stayed two nights had a very good and filling breakfast which was needed ahead of a long day at the big meeting followed by the England match. very convienient for everything. free parking is a massive plus, as it is quite rare so close to the city center.

Cons:

Had lunch and the first day which was mediocre at best. It was the only negative with our stay.
Tried to book online with booking.com for next year but there is a massive increase (up around about 80%) This will put us off staying there next year.

Pros:

A lovely place to stay and relax. It is in a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the pub serves excellent food and drinks. I would definitely recommend it.

Cons:

While the room was comfortable, it could benefit from some refurbishment, as it is starting to look a little old-fashioned.

Clean room. Nice facilities.

Cons:

Not really in the town centre. Durham is cut up by a busy A road which you have to get across.
Fair walk from the hotel but I suppose most hotels aren't in the town centre.
Staff didn't really explain the hotel facilities very well. No toilet roll in bathroom!

Durham stay.

A great stay in a very relaxed atmosphere with large spacious bedroom and bed.
Pros:

The room was amazingly spacious and the hotel itself was really comfortable and relaxed.

Cons:

Breakfast during the week is not available so that was a little disappointing, and the heavy swing shut safety door to the ensuite bathroom slammed shut with such a loud noise and was quite dangerous when you have a dog that follows you everywhere and is always behind you. We had to constantly think about it and check our dog was not behind us, and hold onto it so it didn't make such a massively loud noise slamming shut.

Lovely dog friendly hotel close to centre
Pros:

Super friendly, lovely environment. Lots of different types of spaces to find the best for you. Great dog friendly hotel.

Cons:

Was expensive but maybe as I booked late.
