Luksuriøs oase med topp service
Pros:

Bistroen der hadde nydelig mat, både til middag og frokost. Lokalene er vakre, med utsøkt interiør og en velholdt hage. Vi brukte både poolen og spaavdelingen, begge deler ga en herlig, avslappende effekt. Personalet var svært imøtekommende og gjorde alt for at vi skulle føle oss velkomne og ivaretatt.

Amazing stay, will absolutely come back!
Pros:

With a limited amount of rooms this hotel gives a very intimate and thoughtful vibe. The staff, including Duarte and so many others, take the time to connect with you which is something I find rare these days and really makes a difference. The staff goes above and beyond to get you the assistance you might need - last minute dinner changes, late night arrivals, needing to get an outfit ironed randomly, help getting around, ect. The gentleman who served us breakfast had memorized our preferences after just one meal and that attention to detail is what you get here. I plan to return to Porto and hope to stay at this location again - not only are the grounds beautiful, quiet and peaceful but I think the biggest key to this place is the staff. Also, our rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day and after a long day of sightseeing or a poolside afternoon, it felt like walking we were walking into the room for the first time. Thank you Palacete Severo for a beautiful stay!

Cons:

Nothing! But I'd note it takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the centre. However, we walked at all times of the day and night and always felt safe.

Excelente recuperação de Palacete da família Severo para um break diferente no Porto

Projeto de recuperação do Palacete está muito bem feito
Quarto muito confortável
Piscina interessante (apesar de exposição parcial ao sol)
SPA bom e massagem oferta de 15min

Pequeno-almoço à la carte foi muito lento (~1h) e durante todo o pequeno-almoço havia mesas por levantar - claramente necessita de reforço de pessoal

Beautiful property and people
Pros:

Amenities were lovely, staff very friendly, we had a great treatment at the spa. Welcome wine and treats were appreciated. Breakfast very generous.

Cons:

The property seemed over staffed. Felt a bit awkward at times when you were relaxing and they were all standing around with nothing to do. Attentive of course but maybe not necessary. Also having to call reception for anything you needed was a bit cumbersome, we prefer to be more self sufficient. We had room service which was the same menu as dinner from the restaurant and would not rate it at all.. pretentious and expensive for what you get. The driveway is blocked off so taxis can’t come up and you have to drag your suitcase up the long drive until someone comes to meet you. In sum the place is beautiful and staff very lovely but given the price and 5 star rating I would expect a slight level above.

Superdeluxe en heerlijk hotel.
Pros:

Prachtig klein hotel. Met een heel mooi zwembad en spa/fitness. Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt met alles erop en eraan. Super behulpzaam personeel, zelfs je auto wordt bij aankomst geparkeerd en je bagage naar de kamer gebracht. 20 min. Lopen van het centrum.

Cons:

Niets! Misschien alleen te weinig mogelijkheden om je handdoek op te hangen.

Only 17 rooms which gave the hotel an intimate vibe that was matched by the attentiveness of the staff who seemed genuinely delighted to be working there.

Breakfast could be curated to personal preferences and lunches and dinners were always delicious. The outdoor pool was a real selling point and was salt water filtered - so no harsh chlorine in the water.

It’s a little way out from the main tourist spots - 25 minute walk - but that means the neighbourhood is tranquil and there are plenty of Ubers if you don’t want to walk.

We asked for a late check-out to suit our flight and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The attentiveness to guests’ needs was first class.

Cons:

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem großen Gebäude mit Abluftanlagen und damit verbundener 24 stündigen Lärmbelästigung bei offenem Fenster war für uns eine sehr große Einschränkung. Der mitgebuchte Balkon daher nicht benutzt werden!
