Club Tropicana Swedish Style
Pros:

It's not often a hotel knocks your socks off but Maryhill did. We stayed during a warm sunny period. The hotel was vibrant and felt more like club Tropicana. Good pools and facilities. The Breakfast is superb. Featuring a huge choice. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Would have liked a kettle to make tea in the room.

Pros:

Vi likte de deilige oppvarmede bassenger utendørs med flott havutsikt . Vi likte sengene og solsengene med de delikate trekkene. Vi likte hagen og blomsterbeddene. Veldig estetisk sted. Vi likte resepsjonsområde med den flotte velkomstpeisen. I det hele et nydelig sted. God lukt i gang og lobby.

Cons:

Der Bereich um das Hill House war an 3 von 4 tagen wegen privater Veranstaltungen nicht zugänglich. In einer Nacht gab es durch eine Veranstaltung starken Lärm, war deshalb eher weniger erholsam.

The hotel’s location, rooms, cleanliness, facilities, and breakfast were excellent.

I When we arrived early, we asked whether early check-in was available. We were initially told that early check-in was possible for an additional fee, and we agreed. However, we were then informed that our room was not ready. This response was confusing because if the room was not available, early check-in was simply not possible at that time. It would have been clearer to explain from the beginning that early check-in could not be offered because the room was not yet ready. Additionally, it would have been a nice gesture to allow guests to use the pool facilities while waiting for their rooms.

Another issue was the restaurant. The food we ordered for dinner was tasty, but the portions were extremely small considering the price. We were still hungry afterward and ended up going out to buy pizza. For the same price, we would have expected a much more reasonable portion size.

We also experienced a problem during check-out. Our reservation was made and paid for in advance for two adults, one child, and one baby. However, at check-out, we were unexpectedly charged for an extra bed. We explained that this did not seem correct, and the receptionist said they needed to check with the manager. We then had to wait for more than 30 minutes before they finally confirmed that the charge had been added by mistake and refunded it.

Additionally, there was no separate queue for guests checking in and checking out. While trying to check out, we had to wait in the same line as arriving guests, which created an unnecessary delay.

Vi hade bokat och fått bekräftat att äta middag på slottet men vid incheckning fick vi reda på att slottet var abonnerat.
Vi blev lovade någon form av kompensation vid middagen i den ordinarie restaurangen men såg inget av detta vid utcheckningen…..

However, our overall experience was disappointing due to poor management. When we arrived, we asked for an early check-in subject to it fee. We were told that an additional fee could be charged, but that our rooms were not ready. We did not understand why an extra fee would be requested if the rooms were unavailable.

We also made a reservation at Sugar Club for dinner, but the food portions served were very small and insufficient. In addition, the service was very slow.

Unfortunately, despite being such a beautiful hotel, poor management resulted in a negative guest experience. The check-in and check-out processes took far too long, and we did not receive the support we needed. We arrived at the hotel excited, but left disappointed with our overall experience.
