The place is a perfect landing spot to organize yourself at the start of the trip. You are in the dead centre of hanoi old town, right next to the night market (open on Friday and Saturday).
Stella is very friendly and helpful.
The AC in the room is a life saver during the hot summer
Not exactly a dislike but something to take note of: the entrance is a narrow ally next to the local shops, and a narrow staircase up to the lobby. This means your room is comfortably quiet, but it is something to be aware of. We came with 4 children, and a baby stoller. A bit of a hassle to get the stroller up the stairs but not impossible.
Some rooms don't have windows. We were in one with the baby but it didn't bother us.
We loved our stay at Stella’s homestay. We stayed here 3 separate times during our Vietnam trip in between going to other locations in the North, and it was easy to arrange our additional stays directly with Stella which was great. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the centre of old town and so many shops, cafes, restaurants etc super close. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We stayed in both a standard double and a deluxe double. The deluxe is really spacious but the standard is also great and cosy. The breakfast is lovely, freshly cooked to order. They also provide free drinking water! Stella was super friendly and responsive for any queries we had. Would definitely recommend for your stay in Hanoi!

５泊しましたが、湯が出なくて困りました。天気のいい日はまだぬるま湯みたいなのが出たのですが、
曇り空や雨降りの日は水しか出なくて寒かったのが残念でした。
数少ない人数で頑張っておられる様子が感じられましたので、不平不満を言うのは忍びなくて我慢していました。

Great home stay in a perfect location in the old quarter! Stella is such a lovely host and made sure I had everything I needed. The place was very quiet considering it’s right in the middle of the bustling old quarter, and very clean! The breakfast and coffee was good too. Would definitely recommend staying here in Stella’s place!
