It was close by

Cons:

The fire alarm sound at 11am check out time. The staff said it was a test but another customer said. She felt they were not telling them truth and it felt like a warning bell to remind us to check out.. I didn't like that at all as I was rushed

Pros:

How quickly and accommodating they were about a tv that had no picture but had sound
They moved us to a different room without us asking and without question. The next morning they were repairing/replacing the tv for the next guests.

Ramada Cambridge
Pros:

Pleasant staff and location was good.

Cons:

Purposefully turning air con off during this recent heat wave. The room was unbearably hot and we were told that the air con was supposed to be turned off. Given the heat on Saturday 23rd May, this was unacceptable. I also had a poorly daughter so this made the stay even worse as she was feeling the heat even more.

Cheap but very run down.
Pros:

Cons:

Yes it was cheap but it’s very run down. Black around the shower head and taps. Needs more than a clean. Fixtures are old and damaged with trim hanging off. It’s too far gone. And heater /ac not working in around 30° heat outside

Quiet position despite being a busy service area
Pros:

We chose the hotel for it's location. Good choice of places to eat nearby or also at the hotel.

Cons:

Grubby good deep clean and a hoover for the carpet. Cups provided for tea/coffee but need paper or plastic cups for the bathroom. Went to reception and got 2 glasses.
