Perfect stay
Pros:

It was a lovely property friendly staff , very clean and away from the hustle and bustle

Cons:

Steep walk back from the front of Sliema but to be honest we got a taxi back there was 4 of us so equivalent of £1 each

Grande chambre avec balcon (attention, elles ne le sont pas toutes) Salle de bain OK (mêm si petit problème de chasse d'eau) Hotel situé dans une rue calme à proximité du port, de l'arrêt de bus et d'un loeur de scooter. La vue de l'arrière n'est pas la plus belle, mais on ne vient pas pour cela. Penser à demander une chambre la plus haute possible pour éviter les bruits de la piscine et des gens aux abords (ce ne fut pas le cas lors de notre séjour, il ne faisait pas assez chaud pour l'utilisation de la piscine)

Cons:

Monotonie du petit déjeuner (toujours la même chose même s'il y avait le choix entre le sucré et le salé). Salle petit déjeuner un peu petite (il y a possibilité de manger à l'extérieur, mais cela dépend du temps)

Good location, a bit pricey for what you get
Pros:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good- within a walking distance to local shops and nearby beach (7-10mins walk). We have suite with a private terrace which was lovely but not sure if worth the price

Cons:

Breakfast didn’t have many options, coffee machine kept breaking every day. Rooms are very basic but clean. I was expecting a bit more for the price we paid.

Personal oli väga viisakas ja abivalmis. Koridor ja saabumine jättis hea mulje. Maja oli väga kena

Voodi oli väga ära vajunud madratsiga, konditsioneer ei toiminud esimene päev, teisel päeval õnnestus see korda saada personalil. Vannitoas jooksis ringi suur prussakas. Kõige rohkem häiris söögi tegemise lõhn, mis oli väga tugev ja terve tuba oli seda täis, ilmselt levia ventilatsioonist, eriti tugev oli see hommikusöögi ajal. Vannituba ja eluruumi eraldas klaas ja klaasuks. See ei käinud lukku ja oli väga läbinähtav

I was expecting lot more from a junior suite. My room had no sunlight as it was on the ground floor window facing a brick wall. No ventilation and room smelled moldy. Having a window open to remove smell meant mosquitoes for the night. Elevator next to a room door so you hear everyone. No parking, despite the description clearly states having one. This may be a treatment what you get by not booking direct but via booking.com. This is trading you get on booking.con though. Good luck!

Pros:

The location of the hotel being close to shops.

Cons:

I hired a car to travel around malta and booked this hotel specifically as it was advertised to have parking. Once the booking was confirmed the staff did not make me aware that the parking was not available.

I had to ask and find out so parking was a big struggle which caused me to park away to check in and I had just had an injury which made it a bit difficult to walk.
There was no consideration from the staff when I enquired about parking which in my opinion is shambolic and unprofessional.

Furthermore upon checkout I had to pay the extra city tax for being there?? This information was not given to me upon booking so it came unexpected.

The room advertised on booking is the one upstairs which I booked looking at those pictures, when I arrived they gave me an entirely different room downstairs with no windows, there was a severe smell of damp, and found breathing very hard due to the smell and lack of air in the room. Mosquitos were also present in the room which created severe difficulty in breathing pictures of the mosquito bites are added.

The cooling system in the room.i.e the FAN had no cooling power what so ever, so it was very hot and humid which made sleeping very uncomfortable and unbearable.

An OK hotel ruined by a receptionist with zero customer service.
Pros:

The whole hotel was noticeably clean and tidy. All the staff except for the reception chap, were friendly and helpful. The breakfast pastries were excellent.

Cons:

The guy on reception. If you asked him to do anything he did it with extremely poor grace and gave the impression anything other than sitting behind his desk was an onerous burden.
The first room we were offered was in the basement sandwiched between the pool seating area and dining room. It also had a glass wall to the toilet and shower. When we asked if we could change rooms the response was moody and sullen. We were then given a much smaller room on the 4th floor in which the air-conditioning barely worked. When we asked laddo on reception to do something about it, he allegedly checked it and considered it to be working fine. At this point we gave up dealing with him.
The breakfast is very average.

Incredible stay!
Pros:

We had an incredible stay at Palazzo Violetta! The staff were all really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, lovely and quiet, but also easy access to both the Sliema waterfront area and St Julian's. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows were brilliant. We had breakfast on 2 occasions and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Simply divine
Pros:

Loved the grandeur and simplicity rolled into one

Cons:

The location was perfect for both the Strand (access to all boat trips/ferries) and Tower Road a beautiful coastal walk to Balutta Bay and Tigne Point for some shopping .
