Très bel hôtel et accueil exceptionnel
Pros:

Merveilleux hôtel à Sigiriya, dans un environnement calme et préservé. Les chambres sont très agréables, la piscine est parfaite et les petits déjeuners délicieux. Le personnel est au petit soin et, surtout, le propriétaire vous accompagne dans votre découverte du Sri Lanka d’une manière incroyable. Il a organisé toutes nos activités à Sigiriya, nous trouvé des billets pour l’Esala Perahera à Kandy et s’est assuré que nous passions une bonne soirée même après notre départ . Ce niveau de service est extrêmement rare et nous a permis de commencer notre voyage très sereinement.

Pros:

Sigiriya Cottage is a lovely, small and serene hotel with a beautiful garden and pool. The room was simple, neat and clean, with a terrace overlooking the garden, and was equipped with air conditioning. The owner and manager, Sanji, was very welcoming and accommodating, and gave us some excellent advice on things to do in the area. The hotel staff are all very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of Sri Lankan dishes, and was served in the garden in a peaceful atmosphere. Everything is run smoothly, with real attention to the guests. We highly recommend it.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit herzlicher Atmosphäre
Pros:

Wir hatten mit unseren 2 Jungs (14, 17 Jahre) einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Sigiriya Cottage. Das landestypische Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den freundlichen und äußerst hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, der uns viele tolle und hilfreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben hat.
Ebenso den „Mann für alle Fälle“ der sich um den Garten, Küche, Koffer, An- und Abfahrt kümmert.

Einige Restaurants in der Nähe sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär und angenehm. Unsere Doppelzimmer waren großzügig und sauber. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden das Sigiriya Cottage jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

The highlight of our trip
Pros:

The care and attention of Sanjay, the owner, is well above the norm. He advised on our side trips and arranged drivers on our behalf. He also displays genuine care for his staff.

Cons:

This was very nearly perfect. Two areas where I could suggest improvements are 1) better bedside lights (for reading) and 2) dining tables that are all the same height

Pros:

Lovely and peaceful, big garden with chairs and a swimming pool. Basic rooms with everything you need, including nice balcony. Location is perfect, just off the main road but very close to Sigiriya rock. The owner is very friendly and happy to help arranging any excursion.

La chambre est grande.
Il y a une petite salle de sport dehors.
Amabilité du propriétaire des lieux.

Cons:

Le prix des chambres est vraiment très élevé comparé aux autres logements de la même catégorie au Sr Lanka.
Le niveau de prestation ne justifie pas ces tarifs vraiment chers.
Odeur forte d'égouts dans la salle de bain. (Mais nous ne l'avions pas signalé, peut-être cela aurait été arrangé)

Pros:

Outside of the beautiful location, the lovely staff, who were all very kind and helpful and the wonderful surroundings with lots to see and do, the coffee at breakfast was outstanding and the best we had in Sri Lanka. The owner was very helpful and honest and thought along with everything we wanted to do. We would highly recommend a stay here, and we'll definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Pros:

L’endroit est idéal pour visiter les environs, les équipements très propres, le jardin et la piscine très agréable et le restaurant excellent ! L’équipe est adorable. Peaceful hotel with beautiful swimming pool
Pros:

Great location, close to Lion Rock but very peaceful. Lovely swimming pool and gardens. Rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and great air con. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast included in the rate and honesty fridge for drinks. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Bathroom smelt of drains at times. Dinner and snacks were quite pricey but other restaurants close by.

We highly recommend every should stay at the Sigiriya Cottage!
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Sigiriya Cottage! Beautiful accomodation. Very clean. Great food and exceptional service. We cannot thank Sanji and his team enough! Sanji assisted us in booking our tours and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Due to impacted travel we ended up arriving to the accomodation at 630am instead of check in at 2pm, Sanji was very accomodating and assisted us with an early check in and looked after us had a long travel day to get there.

We would also like to thank our safari jeep driver Thillani - he was very knowledgeable and a great driver.

Excellent séjour au calme !
Pros:

Le propriétaire est d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, il nous a très bien accueilli et permis de profiter au mieux de la région ! La nourriture était excellente, surtout le petit déjeuner. La chambre était propre avec un lit très confortable. La piscine très agréable et propre.

Cons:

Pas de possibilité de vraiment faire le noir la nuit, manque de rideau occultant

N’hésitez pas
Pros:

L’emplacement est top, au calme et proche de Lions Rock. Des petits restaurants proche de l’hôtel et tres bonne nourriture sur place. Spécial dédicace au PDJ exceptionnel. Personnel aux petits soins. Faites la ballade en vélo, elle vaut le coup. Grande piscine très agréable dans ce petit coin de nature.
