Staff very helpful and hotel was in a great location right in the centre of town.
Pros:

The location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We caught the airport bus to stop almost at hotel door and the cable car was very close as well. Supermarkets and restaurants/food court (Willis Lane)/ shops were also very close by.
Got extra tea bags / milk when we asked at reception which was great (a small thing but still very much appreciated).

Cons:

Just a few small things -
Unfortunately, the cupboard door hiding the refrigerator was not hanging correctly and actually dragged across the floor (this looks like it has been happening awhile due to the marks on the floor) and couldn't really be closed. The bathroom doors only closed together with a hard push and the shower rose head pointed to the only gap in the glass wall and door of the shower - water on floor,
Noted that the tag for showing room was vacant in a fire was missing from the hook - minor I know but thought it quite important if ever needed.

Noise in rooms is annoying at times and rooms are looking a bit tied.

Pros:

Close to city, close to walk trails. Bus to airport nearly right outside the door.

Cons:

Lots of alarm noises the first night, not on the property, other buildings.

Conventient location for business meetings
Pros:

In the heart of the CBD - ideal and convenient for business meetings. The room was adequate and there was a kitchen and a laundry (not that I needed either). For me, the location was key and the price point was very appealing.

Cons:

The decor was a little dated - the sofa looked worn and weather-beaten. There was no separate soap for handwashing in the bathroom, but overall it was in good working order. There was a TV and a comfortable bed to sleep in. What more could you need?

Room cleaning measures (Only cleaning every second day) They forgot to change my bedsheet for the entire stay which was not good. Apart from that, everything went well

The building has a lovely 1930s vibe and could be amazing but after the impressive entrance things go a little downhill.
Pros:

The location. It was central and easy to access the city and waterfront.

Cons:

The room was dirty and tired. Bed sheets were clean but other areas such as carpets, sofa fixtures and fittings were not. The sofa looked like something you’d see in a student flat! The bathroom floor needed a good thorough clean - which ironically we did because the (wonderful powerful) shower flooded into the floor (the tray wasn’t deep enough and drain possibly clogged so water didn’t drain away quick enough). Once we realised we just stopped and started the shower intermittently so that we didn’t flood the bathroom every time.
