Extremely sloppy management, ok rooms, overpriced.
Pros:

Location was nice, free parking available, rooms were fair, comfortable and clean.

Cons:

Staff entirely unhelpful.
Important note: this place is under new management. Reviews are likely from previous management.
VERY IMPORTANT: phone number listed is ONLY for restaurant. Though restaurant and hotel are in the same building, the two entities refuse to work together or acknowledge the other.
I was required to to drive from Lugano to hotel (one hour) to check-in in person as they would not accommodate an hour later check-in because it was "inconvenient for them". My friend was arriving in town and I asked hotel if I could wait to pick her up and then check in. They would not accommodate this, even though I described the issue perfectly.

So because it wasn't convenient for them, I had to drive one hour to check-in (a very simple process that could have been done the next day), then an hour back to get my friend, and then an hour back to the hotel.

I also specifically requested a room with two beds. When I arrived, the young man told me the room had one bed as I requested and showed me our email. So I showed him the same email that said I was requesting two beds. This made him remember and he said no room was available at first. Then checked again and was able to find an available room.

Also, I called in advance. The only number is for the restaurant. The girl who answered refused to speak English with me. I tried a little Italian but she couldn't be bothered. When I got there I found she could speak English fine.

I realized I wouldn't be back to the hotel / restaurant to settle up before their (very early) closing hours so I emailed and asked them to provide a way that I could pay suggesting they charge my unpaid breakfasts to the room (since the girl in the restaurant asked us what room we were in at breakfast). Again, this simple request was met with more complication.

So I tried to get back (from Italy) as soon as I could. I ended up catching them still in the restaurant and they said they had just closed the register.

Charmant, tolle Lage, freundliche Leute und wunderschöne Natur vor der Türe

Die Unterkunft hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Ich hatte ein kleines süsses Einzelzimmer und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war herrlich, es hat ein grosses Gehege mit Rehs direkt vor dem Fenster! Das Personal sehr freundlich und die Lage im wunderschönen Lavertezzo ist perfekt wenn man eine Auszeit in schöner Natur sucht.

Cons:

Das Einzige was ich kritisieren kann war die Dusche. Die Temperatur verselbstständigt sich und es kommt immer mal wieder ein heisser Strahl raus, dann wieder kalt und dann wieder die Temperatur, die man eigentlich eingestellt hat. Aber das ist nur ein Detail. Ich würde jederzeit wieder in diese charmante Unterkunft!

Pros:

Ich habe bewusst ein Zimmer mit Gartenblick gewählt, da ich aufgrund der Kommentare hier neugierig auf die tierischen Besucher war. 😊 Und tatsächlich haben sie uns besucht!
Auch die anderen Kommentare kann ich absolut bestätigen: Bei geöffnetem Fenster hört man das Rauschen der Verzasca bis ins Zimmer, was ich persönlich wunderschön fand.
Das Zimmer selbst ist eher schlicht, aber sehr sauber. Und genau diese Schlichtheit passt meiner Meinung nach perfekt zu diesem Ort und seiner Umgebung. Die Natur und die ganze Gegend wirken einfach wie aus einem Märchen.
Das gesamte Personal war ausnahmslos sehr freundlich, das Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker und auch der lokale Rotwein war ausgezeichnet.
Ich kann diesen Ort von Herzen empfehlen und werde ganz bestimmt wiederkommen.
Als kleine Information für zukünftige Gäste: Das Badezimmerfenster ist mit einem Insektenschutzgitter ausgestattet, das Fenster im Zimmer hingegen nicht. Für mich persönlich war das jedoch überhaupt kein Problem.

Osteria Vittoria is located beautifully in the Verzasca Valley close to the famous Ponti dei Salti, with direct view of the town Lavertezzo with its church and traditional stone buildings, as well as direct view of the river. The restaurant offers fantastic food in the local Ticino style, and a beautiful view from the terrace. The Osteria Vittoria features free parking for guests directly by the hotel and restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. You will probably have to pay a regional tourism tax when you arrive, this is common practice in most of Switzerland.

ich war leider an tagen da, wo das restaurant geschlossen war & hatte keine möglichkeit abends, es war dann dunkel & nirgendwo ein gehweg, weder essen noch trinken zu bekommen
