The best stay in Iceland
Pros:

This was simply the best hotel in Iceland for me. The location is special: it’s in the middle of nowhere. The standard in the room is like 4 stars, the shared kitchen is well equipped, and the staff in the hotel is nice and friendly. The breakfast was delicious: scrambled eggs, great bread, vegetables, fruits. The selection wasn’t that broad, but everything was really tasty.

Tolles Hotel, grandiose Lage
Pros:

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal an der Reception und im Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind wie auf booking dargestellt, mit toller Aussicht und Aussensitzbereich. Zimmer und Bad waren ansprechend und sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, mit frisch gebackenem Brot. Auch hier war das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Hof und die Lage an sich sind und bleiben grandios.

Cons:

Im Vergleich zu den letzten Aufenthalten in vergangenen Jahren wurde alles etwas teurer, aber qualitativ etwas schlechter, insb. beim Abendessen und bzgl. Ausstattung. Beim Abendessen war das Rentiersteak (mittlerweile ISK 12950(!)) nicht erhältlich (obwohl auf der Karte); auch der Rentierburger nicht (obwohl auf deren Webseite beworben). Auch das dunkle Bier war nicht mehr erhältlich. Die lamb chops wurden mit der falschen Beilage geliefert. Der Rotwein war grenzwertig oxidiert. Im Aufenthaltsbereich im Hotel waren die Tassen nicht sauber (inkl. Lippenstift). In den Zimmern funktionierte das Wifi nicht. Insgesamt waren wir dieses Jahr etwas enttäuscht - schade, es ist und bleibt abgesehen davon ein unfassbar schöner Ort.

Amazing location. The rooms in the hotel were of an exceptional standard. Great breakfast.

Cons:

The dining area did get overrun by a coach group which arrived mid-evening. The staff were struggling to cope.

Einzigartig konzipiert. Tolle Lage.
Sehr gepflegt. Entspannte Atmosphäre. Zimmer komfortabel und sehr schön gestaltet, sehr gute, bequeme Betten. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Habitación amplia, de madera, desayuno incluido, vistas

Cons:

Carisimo teniendo en cuenta que esta en medio de la nada, salvo q quieras ver el crater como era nuestro caso pero la carretera está cerrada, regulador temperatura roto y el grifo del lavabo se mueve, por el precio.... 337 euros la noche, me parece carisimo

It was great.
Pros:

Overall the stay was lovely. Hosts were excellent. Really comfortable bed and calm ambiance.

Cons:

The AC was broken in my room so it was a bit chilly, the bathroom door was definitely an experience - very little sound proofing.

Pros:

Immerso nella natura. Si tratta di una fattoria con animali liberi. Se hai voglia di incontrarli puoi camminare nei dintorni. Vista dalla camera impagabile. Una pace difficile da trovare in altri posti nel mondo.
Ogni camera è grande e ben riscaldata, dotata di un letto comodissimo, una poltrona, una scrivania e un armadio. Tutto molto pulito e comodo. Bagno pulito e confortevole.
Abbiamo cenato al ristorante e abbiamo mangiato davvero bene. Ho assaggiato la zuppa di licheni che mi ha sorpreso. Ci sono dei piatti difficili da trovare in altri posti. Lo skir servito come dessert è da provare assolutamente.
La colazione è compresa nel soggiorno e viene servita nel ristorante in una struttura a pochi metri dall'alloggio. Colazione ricca di alternative dolci e salate. Pane fatto in caso molto buono da mangiare con la marmellata. Sarei rimasta ancora qualche giorno se avessi potuto.

Cons:

Solo la rete wifi che andava a tratti, rendendo difficile le comunicazioni. Ma si può fare a meno di internet quando si ha la possibilità di vivere una giornata in un posto così incantevole.
