Als alleinreisende Frau, die bereits in zahlreichen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka übernachtet hat, war dies mit Abstand die verstörendste Erfahrung meiner gesamten Reise.
Beim Check-in fragte ich, wer der Eigentümer des Hotels sei. Solche Fragen stelle ich als Alleinreisende bewusst, um mich etwas sicherer zu fühlen. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, der Eigentümer lebe weit entfernt.
Später wollte ich den Pool nutzen. Dort befanden sich mehrere Männer, darunter der Bruder des Eigentümers, der sich mir in diesem Moment als „owner“ vorstellte. Er badete bereits im Pool und forderten mich wiederholt auf, mich auszuziehen und ebenfalls in den Pool zu kommen. Als ich höflich erklärte, dass ich lieber warten und den Pool alleine nutzen möchte, wurde dies abgetan. Mir wurde gesagt, ich solle mich nicht so anstellen, er schwimme eben gerne.
Was mich besonders schockierte: Der Bruder des Eigentümers war vollständig nackt im Pool und berührte in meiner Anwesenheit wiederholt sein Geschlechtsteil. Ich fühlte mich dadurch massiv belästigt, eingeschüchtert und nicht mehr sicher. Als alleinreisende Frau war dies für mich eine äußerst beängstigende Situation.
Da ich erst an diesem Abend angekommen war und sich das Hotel in einer ländlichen Gegend befindet, war es mir nicht möglich, kurzfristig eine andere Unterkunft zu finden. Aus Angst um meine Sicherheit verließ ich mein Zimmer den Rest des Abends nicht mehr.
Leider gab es noch weitere Probleme. Bereits vor meiner Anreise hatte ich schriftlich nachgefragt, ob Abendessen angeboten wird. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass dies nicht der Fall sei, man mir jedoch Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung empfehlen könne. Nach meiner Ankunft stellte sich heraus, dass diese Restaurants bereits geschlossen waren, sodass ich keine Möglichkeit mehr hatte, etwas zu essen.
Außerdem fiel mir bereits beim Betreten des Zimmers ein starker Schimmelgeruch auf. Unter normalen Umständen hätte ich darüber vermutlich hinweggesehen.
Leckeres Frühstück, freundliches Personal, gepflegter Pool und Gartenanlage
Schade, dass das Heavenly Hideaway so weit vom Ortskern entfernt ist. Umliegende Restaurants waren zu unserer Reisezeit (Juli) geschlossen. Die Entfernung zum Strand ist weit und es hat keinen Badestrand (zu hohe Wellen). Im Bad hatte es viele Kalkrückstände.
Un excellent séjour du début à la fin. L’équipe est très accueillante et toujours disponible pour aider. Ils nous ont même trouvé un scooter à louer, ce qui a rendu nos déplacements très faciles. La piscine est très agréable, le petit-déjeuner est délicieux et l’ambiance est calme et relaxante.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Tangalle!
Everything about this accommodation was excellent. The place was beautiful, comfortable, and very well taken care of. The pool was lovely, set inside a fantastic tropical garden full of life, with birds, monkeys, peacocks, and so much natural beauty all around.
It felt peaceful, relaxing, and truly special — the perfect place to enjoy Tangalle. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it!

Un hôtel excellent qui vaut vraiment le prix. L’endroit est très populaire grâce à son magnifique petit-déjeuner varié et délicieux. La piscine est superbe et rend le séjour encore plus agréable et relaxant. L’eau est naturellement chauffée par le soleil, offrant une sensation très agréable, comme un bain chaud naturel. Les chambres sont confortables et bien entretenues, et le personnel est extrêmement accueillant et chaleureux. Une expérience inoubliable que je recommande vivement.
Ce serait encore mieux s’il y avait des facilités de paiement par carte.

A truly serene and beautifully maintained retreat, surrounded by stunning natural scenery and far from the noise. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The Sri Lankan breakfast was exceptionally rich and flavorful—so generous that even two people could hardly finish it.
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort de la chambre, la piscine et la qualité du petit déjeuner qui était exceptionnelle.
Il faudrait assurer une présence à l’arrivée des voyageurs pour donner les premières informations car nous ne savions pas quelle plage rejoindre.
The pool and dog was nice.
The room and bathroom really lacked cleanliness and there were two large live cockroaches in our room. It really ruined our stay and made us feel uncomfortable and unclean.
Also, the breakfast had clearly been sitting out for a while and was cold and had bugs. Not worth it.
wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! super saubere zimmer, ein mega leckeres und abwechslungsreiches frühstück (der ganze tisch war voll gedeckt) und sehr liebe Gastgeber! von hier aus kann man super an strände fahren 👍🏼
Le calme,la nature sur le site,la chambre
Manque d’armoire ou commode pour ranger les vêtements ou affaires.
La maison est magnifique, la chambre est très belle, très propre, avec des prestations de haute qualité (produits d’hygiène, serviette rafraîchissante à l'arrivée, serviettes de piscine à disposition etc...). Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et excellent. La famille qui nous accueille est vraiment adorable, très souriante et discrète.
Le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques, sans vis à vis, très calme, parfait pour se poser après (ou avant) une journée très chaude. Petit + pour les singes qui nous observent depuis les arbres.
La maison est plutôt bien située, au calme de l'effervescence de Tangalle et très bien desservie via l'application Pickme. Il y a plein de restaurants aux alentours, accessibles à pieds. Une plage est également accessible à pieds à environ 20 min de marche. Sinon vous pouvez prendre un tuktuk pour aller jusqu'à Mediketiya Beach (environ 8 min) la plage est magnifique.
Je pense honnêtement que c'est le meilleur rapport qualité/prix que nous avons pu trouver lors de notre séjour au Sri Lanka.
Évidemment, je recommande à 10000%, sans hésiter!
Nice comfy stay, breakfast was wonderful and so generous, pool was good, staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was it is a bit of a distance from Tangalle and the beaches there. We had to cut short our stay but the staff were understanding and helpful in organising this. Thank you for having us.
