We had a wonderful stay overall. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, and I was especially pleased to find a vegan option available, which is not always easy to come by. In the evening, the bonfire created a lovely atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and meet other guests. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the surroundings are truly beautiful. It was also great that kayaks were available to rent, although I found the rental price to be a bit expensive.
The property is located right next to a very busy road with frequent truck traffic, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The Wi-Fi connection in the rooms was quite weak, and there was no drinking water provided in the rooms or even available during breakfast, which was surprising and inconvenient. Aside from these issues, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place, especially for its stunning location and outstanding hospitality.
The breakfast was great. Some staff were very kind. When the WiFi worked, the signal was strong.
As a solo female traveller I felt extremely unsafe at times here. There was a power cut every day meaning one day I had to take work meetings was completely disrupted. I asked at reception and they suggested the generator could be turned on ‘at request’ but I consider electricity to be quite a basic feature of a hotel stay. Water is extremely expensive here - 2500 rwf for a small bottle. I think the business model is very misleading on prices - on multiple occasions I was misquoted a price and later made to pay extra - taxi, a meal and the boat trip. I had one paid meal here and the food took 90 mins to arrive and was cold when it did. The waitress admitted she had stood chatting with my food getting cold. Finally, I was quoted first 40k then ‘50’ for a 1 hour boat trip. When I returned they tried to charge me 50 usd. I didn’t get a full hour and the boat tour asked if he could pick up 1 friend in the way back which ended up being 3 very drunk men and 1 drunk woman, all of whom were shouting and harassing me for the final 20 minutes of the boat ride before returning and being overcharged! I really can’t say strongly enough that single women travelling alone should probably avoid this hotel, despite the kindness of some staff. Also, no campfire every night although they say at reception that they do. The restaurant next door is much cheaper and with fast service.
My family and I spent 4 nights at Paradise Malahide. Not sure what Malahide means, but it was indeed a paradise. The staff was outstanding. They did everything to make us feel at home and welcomed. From the reception to kitchen staff through the support staff, they all did an excellent work. We will definitely go back. I highly recommend the place.
The wifi was not working from some accommodation. But it was fine everywhere else. I'm sure the management will do something about that.
Right on the water. Quality staff. I stayed in one of the separate rooms, which are nice with plenty of air and windows.
Lovely place with lovely staff. Would recommend it!
La localisation et le personnel, le feu le soir sur la terrasse. Le petit déjeuner
Un peu bruyant
The staff were exceptional. The lake view outside the room. The food was good.
The rooms we got were damp. And the bathrooms were mouldy. That made the bed linen cold too.
The staff was superb. The food was very tasty
The rooms and toilets need an upgrade
The views of the lake were incredible.
The staff were friendly and really helpful.
The bedding was strange and the sheets did not fit the beds properly so they came loose while sleeping.
No hot water for showering on the second night.
No house-cleaning whatsoever.
Restaurant at the hotel is expensive! Literally double what the restaurant next door charges.
Heerlijke plek!
Een paradijsje, jammer dat er in de omgeving een aantal bars zijn met harde muziek.
Tolle Lage am See, schöner Garten, nette Sitzplätze, freundliches Personal
