We stayed at Hippocampus Hotel in Kamari for six nights in June 2026, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, but what really made our stay special was the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. They genuinely care about making sure guests have a great holiday, not only at the hotel but also on Santorini.

During check-in, they took the time to tell about the island, recommended the best beaches and places to visit, and answered all of our questions. They also offer early check-in if your room is ready. If it isn't, you can leave your luggage, borrow a towel, and head straight to the beach while you wait.

Our stay included breakfast, and we especially want to thank the amazing chef, Sveta. The breakfast was delicious every morning, with a great variety of fresh food. It wasn't just a standard continental breakfast - there were also traditional Greek dishes, freshly cooked options, and excellent desserts.

The hotel has two nice clean swimming pools with comfortable sunbeds. The pool area is surrounded by beautiful greenery, large trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little oasis away from the city.

The location is excellent—just a 2 min walk from Kamari's main promenade, where you'll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and the beautiful beach. Many beach sunbeds are free to use as long as you order food or drinks from the restaurant they belong to, which worked perfectly for spending the whole day by the sea.

Following the hotel's recommendation, we booked the C2 Full Day Santorini Volcano & Oia Sunset Tour (Caldera & Oia Sunset) with Kamari Tours, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We really appreciated the staff's local recommendations.

The rooms are modern, well renovated, and very comfortable. With air conditioner. The mattress and pillows were excellent, and we also enjoyed having our own balcony.

Wat hebben wij een fantastische vakantie gehad! Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, werden we ontzettend hartelijk en warm ontvangen door Konstantinos. Hij nam uitgebreid de tijd om ons alles uit te leggen, had op iedere vraag een duidelijk antwoord en gaf ons direct een vertrouwd gevoel. Zijn gastvrijheid en enthousiasme maakten vanaf de eerste minuut een geweldige indruk en zorgden ervoor dat onze vakantie perfect begon.

Vervolgens werd onze kamer getoond, die brandschoon, netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien was.

De ligging van de accommodatie is echt perfect: binnen één minuut sta je op het strand of op de gezellige boulevard. Het ontbijt was iedere ochtend heerlijk en goed verzorgd. Het hele personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij, waardoor je je direct helemaal thuis voelt en echt het ultieme vakantiegevoel ervaart.

Heb je tips nodig voor leuke restaurants, gezellige terrasjes of activiteiten op het eiland? Vraag het personeel gerust! Ze kennen de omgeving door en door en geven met veel enthousiasme de beste aanbevelingen. Dankzij hun tips hebben wij geweldige plekken ontdekt die we anders waarschijnlijk hadden gemist.

Via de accommodatie kwamen we ook in contact met een quadverhuurder. Dat was echt een van de hoogtepunten van onze vakantie! Met de quad hebben we het hele eiland kunnen verkennen. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die meer van het eiland wil zien.

Ook de sfeer in de accommodatie is fantastisch. Er zijn twee fijne zwembaden met meer dan genoeg ligbedden en ruimte voor iedereen. De andere gasten bestaan voornamelijk uit koppels en gezinnen, wat zorgt voor een rustige, gezellige en ontspannen sfeer.

Een extra compliment gaat naar Angela, de barvrouw. Wat een lieve, vrolijke en gastvrije vrouw! Ze stond altijd met een grote glimlach voor ons klaar en maakte het verblijf nóg leuker.

Daarnaast willen we Konstantinos nogmaals speciaal bedanken.

Locația e excelentă, foarte aproape de plaja, cu foarte multe restaurante si magazine in jur, personal amabil și primitor, curățenia exemplară, micul dejun foarte bun.

Ένα υπέροχο ξενοδοχείο : μικρό, ήσυχο, περιποιημένο, με φροντισμένο κήπο, ωραίες πισίνες, νόστιμο πρωινό, απλά και άνετα δωμάτια και σε τέλεια τοποθεσία, αφού βρίσκεται δίπλα στην παραλία, σε όλα τα μαγαζιά, τα εστιατόρια, τα μπαρ. Ακριβώς απέξω υπάρχει και στάση λεωφορείου. Τέλος , όλοι οι άνθρωποι στο ξενοδοχείο είναι πολύ ευγενικοί. Όλα αυτά εξασφαλίζουν μια πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή.

The perfect location in the centre of Kamari. About a minutes walk to to the beach, with tavernas, bars and restaurants even closer. Despite it's central position, the pool area is peaceful and perfrct for relaxing. The rooms are great as are all the facilities. Clean, modern and bright. A very good breakfast is enjoyed in a casual atmosphere.

A szálloda nagyon jó helyen van, közel a tengerparthoz, az éttermekhez és a vásárlási lehetőségekhez. A mi szobànk az új épület emeletén volt. A szoba felszereltsége megfelelő, minden nap jöttek takarítani. A személyzet kedves, bármi kérésünk volt, azt azonnal megoldották. Intézték a transzfert, a kocsi bérlést, a hajós kirándulást. Ajánlani fogjuk a barátainknak, ismerőseinknek, akik Santorinire szeretnènek jönni.
