Good, but could be so much better.
Pros:

The lodges here are really nice. Very comfortable, modern and peaceful. Set in beautiful gardens.
Loved sitting outside in the sunshine enjoying an evening drink.

Cons:

I, personally, felt the food here didnt live up to expectations or cost. Prices are pretty high for only average food. Breakfast was a disappointment. No fruit, only basic cereals. I had pancakes which were obviously supermarket bought. Coffee was from a machine which you served yourself.
As I say, it was ok but thought it was very over priced for what you got.

Quiet, good location and food. Staff is friendly but very busy, worth a look.
Pros:

The grounds are lovely, quiet and a great location for exploring the area. A welcome drink was much appreciated, dinner and breakfast were both excellent. We were moved into a nicer downstairs room to accommodate our dog, which was very thoughtful. The staff were friendly, though very busy.

Cons:

The room needed some TLC, eg there was no remote for the tv, but we enjoyed our stay, the price was reasonable, and I probably would have given it a higher rating, but we had a negative experience with the staff after we left. I inadvertently left a shirt behind and called the next day, spoke to a nice lady who found it and said they would post it asap. That didn't happen and after a couple of weeks I called back, no one seemed to know anything about it, no one called me back. I finally contacted Mark the manager who said I needed to arrange to have it picked up, which I did but the shirt wasn't ready for the postman when he came with the prepaid label. Mark apologized and said it was their fault they would take care of it now, but a few more weeks passed and nothing happened. He then said Shaun was taking care of it and had already posted it. That was over two weeks ago.
When I called Shaun, he said he'd posted it the week before and it should have already arrived. By this time I thought maybe they'd lost it. Shaun claimed he had tried to email and call me, but there was not a record of either. He finally gave me a tracking number over the phone, which turned out to be bogus. By this time, two months had passed since we stayed there. I'd pretty much given up, but miraculously the shirt arrived today, 15th Aug. It had been posted two days ago on the 13th of August.
So, my take is that they seem to be so busy they couldn't find the time to help a former guest. I found the calls with them unprofessional, defensive, they never returned my calls, and the fact that they lied to me about posting the shirt earlier has left a bad taste in my mouth. We won't be staying there again.

Overall a bit disappointed to be honest
Pros:

Clean, comfortable & self contained, staff were friendly & helpful

Cons:

Understaffed, no staff were at the reception so had to go to the restaurant to check in.
Had to wait nearly an hour for food - however it was well worth the wait because the food was excellent!
The staff were really fabulous throughout even though they were worked off their feet

Beautiful place for an intimate short stay
Pros:

Staff all excellent and very attentive. The very jolly bearded gentleman was exceptional, he was always always there when we needed him. The food was exceptional. We especially enjoyed the lounge to play cards in the evening after dinner. We celebrated our 50th wedding Anniversary there with our best man and his wife, all round it was an excellent venue, beautiful and peaceful too. Beds comfy, water hot and just generally awesome

Cons:

Nothing!!!
