The tranquility of the setting and the standard of the room size very good for classic room
And plenty of parking right near to room
Staff couldn't have been more helpful
Restaurant food excellent.staff went beyond helpful even bringing out drinks to table and chairs by the pond.
We stayed here for 2 nights for a quiet break, and it was exactly that.
Rooms were spacious and spotless.
The staff here are excellent.
Abbie is the front of house and is charming, she doesn't stop, there was another young girl who served breakfast which I didn't get her name, and Shaun
Mark the owner is always on site and is a truly genuine nice guy .
We ate here both evenings and the produce is local, freshly cooked to order delicious and excellent value for money
The chefs have it spot on.
When you leave it feels like you are leaving friends behind.
100 % recommend and will return
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Personally I couldn't find fault, nothing was too much trouble
The location and setting is fantastic. We stayed in one of the superb cottage suites, with Hot Tub and it exceeded our expectations. The breakfast and evening meal at Coach House restaurant was excellent. The staff deserve a special mention as they were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even though we stayed there during the heatwave which made working conditions even more challenging.
Absolutely Nothing
Beautiful relaxing stay would have liked to have stayed longer. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, would definitely recommend a stay or just a meal yum!
Nothing comes to mind.
The location is great for a quiet retreat
Some rooms may benefit from updating, however, it was clean and comfortable throughout
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

A beautiful setting, peaceful and well located to reach the North Devon coastline. Friendly and helpful staff and delicious breakfasts freshly cooked to order. Room on the grounds to relax with the restaurant and bar open for drinks and food all day. Our room in the Grange was large and bed very comfy, our bathroom was huge with deep freestanding bath and there was a spacious guest lounge in the main house with music, games and large sofas to relax in. We enjoyed our time away here exploring North Devon.
The evening meals in the Coach House were not as good as we had expected for the price and the choice on the menu was limited. We waited up to an hour each evening for our main courses but there seemed to be only one chef in the kitchen. The starters were better than the mains and desserts (fillet steak overcooked and cherry creme brulee was made with cocktail cherries). Our room was beautifully decorated but was showing signs of wear (torn curtains and stained carpet) and for the space would have benefited from more seating that just a chaise longue as we had a suite. The housekeeping for a 3 night stay was limited to just a straightening of the bed and we had to request clean glasses and more toilet roll! It felt like the place was being run on very limited staff.
We had a fantastic time at the Kentisbury Grange with my wife. We came for a couple of days to explore North Devon. The restaurant was amazing, food is locally sourced, service was exceptional, staff was very kind and attentive. The lodge itself was beautifully located, very spacious, hot tub on the terrace.
Nothing to mention, we genuinely had a fantastic time.
Lovely quiet location and lovely staff.

Beautiful grounds and lodge was immaculate!
A little bit out in the sticks but fine once you’re there!
Beautiful location, lovely hot tub
Cleanliness needs improving and the cottage area needs landscaping all the greenery is really over grown.
The drainage also had issues…
Eine Traumlage in einem parkähnlichen Garten. Die Cottage Häuser waren sehr sauber und gemütlich, das Restaurant schön eingerichtet und gutes Essen.
Muss lange überlegen, fällt nichts nennenswertes ein.
Lovely setting in extensive ground. Quiet rural location. Excellent breakfast. Did not have dinner so can't comment.
Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. There was a very nice lounge for guests to use. The grounds are very pleasant. All the staff we encountered were very helpful. The standard of cooking of the evening meals was excellent - we ate there for all 3 evenings of our stay.. Pricing wise, if you want breakfast it is important to get a breakfast inclusive deal.
A little more organisation at breakfast would have been helpful - for example labelling of fruit juices, instructions for use of the somewhat idiosyncratic toasters. Minor but easily fixed. Our main dislike was that our room was too hot and there didn't seem to be any way to cool it down and we were there during decidedly average weather conditions.
Excellent repas er service accueillant dans une atmosphere campagnarde “luxe” mais sans ostentation. Superbe batisse an ienne élégamment décorée avec goût. Ils ont aussi la passion des animaux ! Nous recommandons
