Beautiful hotel in the heart of Marfa
Pros:

Grounds were beautiful and the room itself was tasteful and very comfortable. The check in/out key locker system was super easy to navigate and the location, right in the heart of Marfa, was perfect. I was able to walk pretty much everywhere I wanted to go.

Appreciative that I had a place to lay my head, but I will not be staying here again.
Pros:

The AC worked, thankfully. The courtyard is nice with native plants and the restaurant across the street was nice. Aside from that, this is a pretty old motel that should bring their prices down to match their service.

Cons:

The property is getting old and the rooms show it. The baseboards are dusty and some areas of the room are rusty. The room is extremely humid, almost feeling like you are outside. The bathroom is outdated. For the look and feel of the room, the lack of front desk assistance since they use an automated check-in system and lack of amenities (they do have a pool, but their gift shop is mostly closed and their version of a lobby is an empty hotel room with a tv and seating, this room should have been $125 / night MAX.

Overall, not the best experience it could’ve been for the price.
Pros:

The manager was amazing and took care of us and all our needs above and beyond expectations

Cons:

Ants in the first room all over the walls - ice machine didn’t work - upon leaving, I pulled true bedding off as a courtesy and discovered a couple small black beetle looking bugs. Ran out of toilet paper.

Perfect, secluded, well appointed, comfortable, low-touch/no-touch, ideal location for Marfa visit
Pros:

pour-over coffee set up in the room. outdoor sitting areas and outdoor concrete-living-room on property were intimate and enjoyable places for breakfast and afternoon chats

Cons:

Fresh water dispenser could have been filled more often, it was very convenient, very much appreciated, but obviously got a lot of use. This is a minor inconvenience, and I would not count it against our experience, but you are asking, so I'm answering.

Love this place!
Pros:

Easygoing, welcoming atmosphere that you would expect in Marfa
Pros:

Unpretentious, centrally located, clean rooms, lovely courtyard with pool, very nice staff.

Cons:

Check-in was a little confusing (self-service, difficult to locate booking code), but ultimately not an issue.
