Location was nice, had a bridge view. Parking was good.
First time in this hotel, had heard a lot of good stuff about it however I have stayed in other hotels that are far superior. The hotel was ok but things like the room doors painted drab grey and full of chips and missing paint let the place down. Lighting was like the Dakota very dark.
Fabulous location- great bar and restaurant

Friendly staff, large comfortable accommodation overlooking the Bridge and Tyne.
You can open your windows so the room always had fresh air.
VERY nice large comfy bed!!!. The decor is classic and stylish. I'm writing this review in bed and am looking out on trees through the window, and can hear the occasional seagull - very rustic.
The interior corridors are finished in dark colours making it a little difficult to navigate and find the lift. Your interior decorator needs to study Light Refectance Values (LRV) to make it easier- we have no sight issues, so can well imagine someone with sight issues having a problem.
Large rooms, comfortable beds, tea, and coffee station in room. Good breakfast choice. Staff were friendly and helpful.
10 to 15 minutes walk from Central station.
Pillows were too soft.
Lage und Ausstattung
Location and access to parking. Room was bright and fresh. Everything worked. Staff were positive, polite and friendly.
Offered complimentary drink if waived housekeeping for the additional day. This turned out to be a simple con, very disappointing, because the value offered did not buy a drink especially wine so you were up for an additional expense. Cost of saving to the hotel not to provide housekeeping far greater than the value offered. Will not fall for that again.
Good location. Comfortable room. Good upgrade
Slightly overpriced.
Location, staff, food, drinks, spa treatments. All spot on! We had a room overlooking the bridge. We had afternoon tea which was different from the norm and very delicious, we had 2 x 30 min spa treatments and a sauna. Special mention to Hannah in the restaurant and Selina the chef as well as Yolanda & Louise in the spa. You all contributed to a fabulous 2 night stay.
We were the cyclists who cycled from Edinburgh to Newcastle 😀
One small tiny thing, the receptionist should have mentioned that we could use the sauna in the spa without having to book treatments. We would have liked that especially after a long day cycling.
Beautiful hotel and staff are willing to go above and beyond their usual routine to help you.

A bit of rubbish under bed could have been hoovered up
