Only the location
It felt tired and cheaply renovated …. It lacked style and integrity .
Reception staff were the opposite of welcoming - they were frosty and contributed to an unfriendly start to an indifferent experience
The location was convenient to get to by car with parking right behind it. It was a quiet yet trendy location right beside the river. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and it had a view of the bridges and windows that opened. A bottle of cold water was in the fridge which was nice. Air conditioning was good as was the on/off button for the towel rail in the bathroom. There were alternative options at all meals to cater for those with allergies. The staff were particularly careful to make sure individual needs were met.
The bathroom lighting was dim and the mirror too far back from the sink to be able to see oneself shaving or putting in contact lenses. The toiletries were minimal, no body lotion. No earl grey tea option or hot chocolate or coffee machine in the room. Service in the restaurant was quite slow at times even when not busy. The price of food and drink was high. A 12.5% service charge was automatically added to the end of a meal.
Gute Lage, Gutes Parken
Zimmer total hell, sehr schlechte Absunklung
Lady on reception was exceptional and so friendly and helpful it got my stay off to a superb start. The room was perfect, clean, everything i needed included large bottle of water in fridge. Breakfast was stunning, would definatley highly recommend
Nothing
Lovely Hotel, Breakfast was great and location perfect
Room had excellent view over the Millenium Bridge although it was a little noisy on the quayside. It was large with interesting decor and great bathroom facilities. We appreciated the air conditioning as the weather was exceptionally hot. It was good to be able to walk to the key tourist spots.
Although there was an excellent spread at breakfast with attentive staff we didn’t like the menu choice for lunch or dinner. My husband enjoyed the one evening meal we had in the restaurant but mine was poor. We found much better venues for the next two nights of our stay.
Great location and lovely room
Beautifully decorated. Great location on the Quays. Lovely choices for breakfast. Had eggs Benedict Gorgeous. Helpful friendly staff.
Pillows were a bit too hard for my liking. That’s my only negative.
Excellent location.
Very helpful staff.
The reception area and welcoming was pleasant
The room was nothing over special for the price
It was dirty around the floor of the bed the shower was constant dripping had to keep the bathroom door shut. Check put was a bit earlier 11 am
Location and good rooms. We paid a little extra for the bridge view. Parking was very good value compared to Edinburgh
It was extremely noisy, beds uncomfortable and one of the bar staff was not friendly at all.
