Kataragama Homestay

Tienen dos habitaciones y nosotros las cogimos las dos. Hicimos el safari con ellos y fue muy bien. El chico que nos atendio super amable y colaborador. Cenamos las dos noches en un restaurante a 5 minutos caminando y nos encanto. Comida local. Me dejaron hacer dos lavadoras sin cobrarme nada y es de agradecer.

Nous avons passé un super séjour à kataragama homestay. La chambre était propre et mignonne. L’emplacement était bien pour trouver facilement des restos et visiter le plus grand temple du coin. Le petit déj était généreux.
La famille d’accueil s’est occupé de notre safari à Yala qui s’est très bien passé. Le chauffeur faisait tout pour qu’on voit le maximum d’animaux et il a bien équilibré entre spots très recherchés par les jeeps et endroits plus calmes où on s’arrêtait pour regarder la nature et laisser l’espace pour des surprises. Nous sommes très contents de notre séjour. Nous recommandons bien cet hôtel.

Uma estadia fantástica antes dos nossos safaris no Yala National Park. O Sahan e o Upul foram extremamente atenciosos desde o primeiro contacto e ajudaram-nos a organizar os dois safaris (um Block 5 na tarde de chegada, outro Block 1 na manhã seguinte), com preços justos e sem qualquer complicação. O quarto era confortável, limpo, com ar condicionado, e o pequeno-almoço foi ótimo, já dentro do parque. A localização é sossegada, no meio da natureza (vimos esquilos e macacos), mas próxima o suficiente às entradas do parque. Recomendamos muito para quem procura uma experiência genuína, longe dos resorts genéricos, com anfitriões que tratam os hóspedes como família. Voltaríamos sem hesitar.

Warm welcoming hosts. Clean, well designed room with aircon. We had breakfast on two mornings for a small additional cost which was delicious and exceptional value. The property is away from the centre of town but we borrowed bikes for free and easily cycled in. The hosts arranged safaris for us which were outstanding and the guide was knowledgeable and clearly had a respect for the animals. We were lucky to see leopards, elephants and many other animals/birds. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We had an Amazing Stay, they made sure everything was confortable for us and arranged a private safari for us that was amazing. They also took care of every dinner and breakfast for us and booked us a transfer. We recommend 100% this homestay. Thank you so much again for everything.

Déco très soignée, hôtes très gentils. Je recommande pour ceux qui sont de passage dans ce coin. Bon Petit déj.

Nice and cozy room, close to all the major sites. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful and they arranged a beautiful safari for us! We absolutely loved it, would come again!!

Super vriendelijke jongen die de B&B namens de familie regelt. We mochten later uitchecken ivm safari, en ook na terugkomst geen haast maar koffie met wat lekkers. Super behulpzaam!

Sehr schönes Zimmer und nettes Personal. Über das Hotel kann man eine Safari für Yala buchen.

ホストの人柄が本当に素晴らしいです。予約したプランには朝食のみが含まれておりましたが、到着が遅くなったりサファリ後で疲れて夕飯探しに困っていると、祖母お手製のカレーを用意してくれました。とても美味しかったです。
また滞在中に午前中時間がかなりあったので何しようか迷っていたところ、ホストがバイクでカタラガマ市内を案内してくれてとても楽しかったです。
スリランカに第2の実家ができたような気持ちで、ホストの温かさに触れて心がとても満たされました。今回はヤーラ国立公園を訪れるために滞在しましたが、次回はこのホストファミリーに会うためだけに行きたいぐらい！素敵な思い出をありがとうございます。

L'accueil et la propreté des lieux.

Absolutely lovely place just a short walk from the main town area, but they have bicycles you can borrow if you'd prefer a quicker trip. Lovely host family, with the young fella running the place going above and beyond to make your stay there as nice as possible. Just watch out for the monkeys trying to steal your delicious breakfast ;)

We had a very nice stay at Kataragama Homestay. The place is peaceful, comfortable and overall has a really pleasant atmosphere.
The room was clean, beautiful and spacious, and the bathroom was very big, which was a nice plus. There was also a fridge in the room. The whole area around the accommodation is really nice and calm, so it is a good place to relax.
The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Another big advantage is that they can organize a safari for a good price, which makes everything much easier if you are planning to visit the national park. Parking is also available, and the location is quite good — relatively close to the center, but still quiet.
I don’t really have anything negative to say. For us it was a very good stay and I can definitely recommend this place.
