The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our seasonal menu. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.
When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.

Attempted to charge us new city tax although booking .com had already taken this which was clear on our bill
Service was great. The room was nice and clean with nice facilities. Parking right by the hotel.
The hotel has parking, which was important for me. The decor is a bit dated. But it is clean and safe.
I had to sacrifice distance to the city centre for free parking. But there are local buses a few minutes away so you can easily catch a bus to get to the city centre.
Staff very welcoming, rooms really nice.. felt a little bit dated but spotlessly clean and spacious. Staff were very welcoming 😃

Lovely room, very clean and well provided for and great staff!
Unfortunately when we returned from the theatre all of the wall socket plugs in our suite did not work! At first we thought it was just the fan (as we tried to cool room on our return as it was very hot with no air con), so we called down to have fan replaced. Then once the next one didn’t work we came to realisation that our phone batteries were also dead and that it was all electricity apart from overheat lights that had gone off.
This was eventually fixed but was quite the inconvenience due to the heat and not having phone contact with our kids due to phone batts dying.
Otherwise a great stay, we love the Mals across the UK - but not having power was an issue I am afraid.

In a good area of Edinburgh.
The room itself was clean and fine for the standard of the hotel and it's in a good location on the shore while being close to a tram stop (when they're running). Staff were very friendly and helpful and I appreciated the complimentary coffee as well as the space to work from the bar area.
There was no a/c or proper ventilation. This is an issue across the UK so not just this hotel but they need to get a grip on it as it's just not good enough in the 21st century. I get that the UK is in decline but for what they charge they need climate control in rooms.

The location on the waterfront is excellent to explore Leith.
The building and common areas were very nice
The room needed general maintenance and cleaning needed more attention. The windows and balcony obviously had not been cleaned for months. The shower head was very dirty and I wouldn't have used it if I had seen it earlier.
No air conditioning in the room and the windows only opened a crack so it was impossible to get fresh air circulating.
There were no standard sockets at the side of the bed only usb a and as we use medical equipment at night, this too was impossible.
The room was not soundproof and the brewery started work early. If you have an early flight or prefer quiet ask for a waterfront view.
Overall disappointing for the cost
