Great for small groups who just want to hang around the resort pool and chill out.
Pros:

Rooftop pool was amazing, clean and great views. Ocean front suite had a bath and day bed on balcony. Suites are really spacious.

Cons:

Netflix does not stream to their tv’s, there are no shower facilities to use if you check out but need to wait around for a later flight - they make you pay a whole extra night. For a 5 star hotel would expect they would allow you to leave luggage and have a shower if needed before leaving Townsville. The ferry terminal is close but not close enough if you want to walk in the heat with a suitcase and they don’t offer any kind of shuttle service which costs you an uber fare. In room dining was great but food options at rooftop very limited. There were no supplies like shower cap, ear buds etc in rooms - you have to request them. Overall it’s beautiful but a 5 star hotel should offer all of the above and it’s in a funny location away from the strand so it’s a 20 minute walk if you want to eat anywhere but Ardo or the Ville.

Great place to stay
Pros:

Hotel and facilities were brilliant. Room was very comfortable and clean, amenities were good. Coffee machine a bonus. Balcony was great to sit out on. Rooftop bar was great. Having the casino eating option so close was good

Best getaway for location, comfort and luxury
Pros:

Ardo is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with not only a beautiful scent but the views are unbeatable. You could literally be in the most exotic location in the world. The rooftop pool and bar is relaxing, the view is sensational and the food was amazing! We loved every second of our stay there and will definitely be back!
